This episode Keli and Nicole discuss the challenges of having fun. In a recent episode of Glennon Doyle's podcast "We can do Hard Things" the show discussed having a stunted fun "gene" and it hit home! We don't even know what fun is, much less how to have it. Join us as we talk about what we've learned, how we feel challenged to shake the dust off of our party pants and what we'll be doing to try to rediscover our fun selves. Yikes.
Also, listen to the original We Can Do Hard Things episode from Glennon Doyle wherever you listen to podcasts. It's episode 4, entitled "FUN: What the hell is it and why do we need it?" (Exactly. All that.)

I'll be honest, we recorded this episode over a week ago and I can't even remember what it's about.
Nicole Allen and I talk about graduations, kids flying the coop and...I'm not sure what else. Let's all listen together for the first time. LOL. - Kel

Host Keli Budnich andGuest Co-Host Nicole Allen discuss a new wave of life changes as "Pandemic Life" and some of the restrictions ease up and life gets to a new normal. There's a lot of change in the air and change ain't always easy, am I right? Marriages, schooling, jobs, you name it... we're all in the midst of getting to a new normal, and for some of us that looks drastically different. We especially talk about divorce and relationships in this one.

**Audio on this video is less than awesome. Turns out, my "puppy" (who is too old to call a puppy anymore and also too old to be chewing my stuff!) chewed on one of my AirPods and the microphone was crap without my knowledge. Cool cool. - kel

Welp, this episode is a doozy. Keli chats with Nicole Allen about some of the dynamics of building, maintaining and growing friendships, especially among women. Keli finds herself struggling during the conversation and can't really put her finger on what is holding her back mentally and emotionally. As the conversation starts to wind down, the ladies get vulnerable about some of the dynamics about their own friendship in the past.

Keli Budinich and Nicole Allen spend some time talking about feeeeeeellllings. Ugh. We hate feelings.
This episode covers how we, as moms, are parenting our teens during this season of life, how those worries and fears are taking its toll on us from time to time, and how just talking it out can bring relief to the overwhelm. We also discuss hitting our emotional walls and where do we go from here. It's a real uplifting one! ;) Seriously, it is kind of uplifting.

Join Keli and Nicole as they tell hilarious (and painful!) stories of beauty treatments in the salon and at home that didn't go quite as expected.
And while we're on the subject...
An Open Letter to Women's Beauty Standards:
What's up with these impossible things we women are expected to do for the sake of "beauty?" Wax this, curl that, shave these. What's so wrong with the hair god gave us anyway?? Whether we're adding to our eyebrows or removing our mustaches, it's a full time job just keeping up with self grooming, and not everyone is interested in this crap.
So take your standards and shove them where the sun don't shine. We only shave what we WANT to shave now, and if you don't like it, you can just move on.

A mini episode kicks off Season Two with Keli and Nicole discussing what back to school looks like when we're still in the world of COVID and distance learning. Discussions on the silver linings of the life skills they're learning in the midst of our world right now, and how we can allow them to acknowledge how challenging it is are the main focus. There's also a quick chat on the WAP and a lot of good laughs.
