  • Alive to God (Part 2)
You are going to serve someone or something. The question is: who or what is it? If you are in Christ, you get to decide if you will walk in according to the old man of sin, or if you walk in the ways of Christ. If we try to live in our own strength, we will certainly fail. It's not enough to just hate sin; we must love Jesus instead. We will continually be fighting sin, but He must be our chief joy and desire! Jesus really died, and He really rose from the dead, and He will never die again. That's our proof that we are no longer slaves to sin. Death and sin do not have dominion over Christ; and since we are in Him, they have no dominion over us either. We may now consider ourselves to be dead to sin, and alive as a new creation in Jesus. Who will you love more: the old man of sin, or the Lord Jesus?

  • 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10 - "An Encouraging Church Report"
As a church, we ought to desire to be "worthy of imitation" in our faith, hope, and love. So much so, that the reputation of Christ goes out from us into the world. This is done through simple, faithful, and consistent proclamation of the gospel and obedience to the word. This week, look for ways to apply your faith in a manner that is worthy of imitation. As our faith is proven by our works, the joy of the Lord becomes our strength, and Christ is exalted for all to see.

  • F2L 34 OT Doctrinal Review
This sermon explores the foundational doctrines of God, man, and nature, emphasizing the creator-creature distinction and the concept of analogical knowledge of God. It examines the impact of the Fall on both humanity and the natural world, highlighting how sin introduced suffering and disorder into creation. The teaching connects these theological truths to the believer's experience of sanctification, urging a response of faith rather than sight when facing trials. By referencing the Exodus and the life of Joshua, the sermon illustrates the necessity of loyalty to God and the role of divine grace in overcoming the world, flesh, and devil. Ultimately, it calls for a mature Christian life characterized by endurance, righteous anger, and a deep reliance on God's sovereign plan.

  • The Lord Is There
This sermon explores the symbolic vision of the New Jerusalem in Revelation 21, presenting it not as a physical location but as a representation of God's redeemed people dwelling with Him in the new creation. The central message emphasizes four key truths: a glorious people who reflect God's radiance, a gathered people secured by salvation, a glorious sanctuary that mirrors the Holy of Holies, and a gladdened people who no longer need a temple or sun because God's presence provides all light and life. By drawing connections to Old Testament prophecies in Ezekiel and Isaiah, the exposition highlights the fulfillment of God's promise to restore His people, transforming them from broken and sinful into a holy city adorned with precious stones. The tone is pastoral and encouraging, assuring believers that their ultimate hope is not merely an escape from suffering but a permanent, unbroken fellowship with God where all former things are passed away. The sermon concludes with a call to persevere in faith and repentance, trusting that God will finish the work of salvation and bring His people home to eternal joy.

  • In The Beginning pt 2
This sermon examines the second through fourth days of creation in Genesis, emphasizing the literal 24-hour nature of these days and the intricate design of the natural world. The speaker argues that the order of creation, particularly the separation of waters and the establishment of luminaries, refutes evolutionary theories and highlights God's sovereignty over the physical universe. By connecting the biblical metaphor of light piercing darkness to the spiritual reality of salvation, the message presents creation as a testament to God's glory and a backdrop for the gospel. The tone is instructional and apologetic, aiming to equip believers with a robust understanding of Scripture to engage with secular perspectives. Ultimately, the sermon calls for repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who is identified as the true light that illuminates the path to eternal life.
