  • ERN Presents W.A.R. Radio "How Far Should The Curtain Be Opened?" W/ LOTS
Evolution Radio Network Proudly Presents: Wrestling Authority Radio (W.A.R. Radio)
TONIGHT on W.A.R. We Pose The Question.... "How Far SHould The Curtain Be Opened?" We will have lots of guests calling in to debate this.
Last night on TNT we had a very boisterous discussion about an event that happened this past weekend in Southern Illinois. Part of that discussion included should you expose the base parts of the ring in front of a live crowd. Without having promoted our show in certain groups, miraculously the concept became a huge topic of discussion in those groups.
We are going to continue that conversation tonight with at least one guest, a long time friend of ours and former Windy City Wrestling and Dale Gagne version AWA star "The Illustrious" Jon Stewart, Rudy Boy Gonzalez, Paul Eubanks, Krusher Knopf, Les Thatcher, & Many More! We have also reached out to our friend at 1Wrestling.com's Bill Apter We have aslo reached out to several of our other friends to weigh in on this topic and expect MORE callers!
This will be a lively discussion and there may be some verbal exchanges, but we will try and keep it civil. We hope you will join Jon, Katie, Steve, Sean and any of our other friends who choose to join us for this intense but important discussion.

BREAKING NEWS- Impact Wrestling announcer/producer Jeremy Borash just signed a deal with WWE! We will discuss the situation and what he might be involved in.
With the strain's of Joan Jett's classic "Bad Reputation" and a finger point at a sign, the wrestling business was changed without a word.
Rowdy Ronda Rousey, probably the biggest name in the UFC ranks, played the world, including celebrity news site TMZ, when she claimed she was off to Columbia for a movie shoot, only to suddenly show up in Philadelphia three days later. Steve will explain how the ruse was carried off without anyone suspecting. We will also talk about the rather frosty reception she is getting from some of the established women on the roster.
Was there legit heat between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar Sunday night? Apparently there was, which we will discuss. If you're wondering why Dolph Ziggler didn't answer the challenge of Bobby Roode at the Royal Rumble, so are we.  We're hoping we get at least a storyline answer tonight during SmackDown Live.
There are two major stars who are out with injuries, one with WWE and one with New Japan, that will keep them both out of action for extended periods. It also appears that Chris Jericho will be doing at least a limited return to WWE based on some reports out of England.
You know when there's something controversial in the wrestling business, eventually Jim Cornette will say his peace, and he has regarding Enzo Amore. We have that clip for you, and as always with James E., it's a doozy.
All of this and more with Katie, Steve and Sean right after SmakDown Live.

  • ERN Presents Throwback Thursday-PWR SLAM! Revisits Georgia Champonship Wrestling
    Original air date-1/12/16
Tonight PWR SLAM! goes back to the early days of cable TV when Ted Turner put his shows on at 5 and 35 after the hour "so you can see how boring everyone else's stuff is then come watch MY shows". In those days, the whole nation was starting to turn to something called Super 17 on Saturday night starting at 6:05 P.M. Eastern for a little show called "Georgia Championship Wrestling". At that time, the Georgia territory, owned and run by Ole Anderson, was part of the National Wrestling Alliance when it was still a powerhouse and part of the Big 3 along with Verne Gagne's AWA and a little promotion then run by Vince McMahon Sr. called the World Wrestling Federation.
The roster was one of the top groups of its time, from the enhancement guys such as George South, Alabama Jr. Heavyweight Champion Mike Jackson and The Mulkey Brothers to the top stars, NWA World Champion Nature Boy Ric Flair, Michael Hayes and Terry Gordy, who were feuding at the time, Tommy "Wildfire" Rich and many more. Among that group were two good old Southern boys who definitely were "rasslers", Joel Deaton and Bob Cook.
Joel Deaton was working as a personal trainer when Lars Anderson took him under his wing and trained him for an in ring career. After a short stint in Anderson's promotion Joel left for his first stint at GCW. He not only wrestled as Joel Deaton, he put on a mask and wrestled as Thunderfoot, where he was managed by the legendary James J. Dillon. Joel has been with us on our Promoter's Roundtable and was part of our Anniversary, but this will be his first featured appearance.
Joining Joel will be another stalwart from those Georgia days, Bob Cook. Bob is also a protege of Professor Boris Malenko so his heritage is stellar. We will discuss his beginnings in the ring, wrestling new WWE Hall Of Fame member Sting and donning a familiar mask.

  • ERN Presents W.A.R.-Wrestling Authority Radio-Ladies Night With Angel Orsini
We have had several members of the ECW roster on our show in the past. However, this is the first female member of the roster that we have had the privilege of interviewing. One thing our listeners must not do is pigeonhole Angel Orsini, there is much more to this talented woman than her time as "The Prodigette".
Angel is an accomplished competitive weightlifter and a martial arts expert who competed in MMA matches in Japan which is where she was discovered and talked into training to become a wrestler.
While she is more recognized by a national audience for her ECW appearances, she has quite a record of working throughout the world, winning titles in many promotions.
Katie, Steve and Sean look forward to speaking with this accomplished woman and we hope you will enjoy it.

  • ERN Presents Rampage Rants-Tuesday Night Turmoil
Is WWE planning on leaving the USA Network again? That is the hot new rumor stirring around and we have the details of what it would take and what WWE would do with it's programming if they did. This morning, one of the standouts on both the independent scene and the Lucha Underground roster signed with WWE. Does that mean his other half is not far behind? Speaking of talent being in two different companies, the spouse of another WWE superstar was spotted backstage at the Impact Wrestling tapings which concluded last night back in Orlando. During those tapings (SPOILER ALERT) two long time faces of the company apparently made their final apperances. The picture of one of them appeared on the Twitter of another former Impact star who is waiting to make his WWE debut. Could there be a reuniting of a well known Impact pairing, especially since Impact changed their contracts to let their stars take their Impact gimmicks when they go?
Note: We have just recieved word that ANOTHER Impact star has left the company, we will reveal who that is along with their WWE connection.
RAW 25 is next Monday night and we now know at least two people who WON'T be there, and one who is working for another company who will. A Mae Young Classic competitor, who was not signed by WWE due to something found in her physical, had surgery yesterday. Does that mean she might still get an opportunity?
All of this PLUS new information on the Michael Elgin situation that may change the complexion of the entire case. Our friend Crimefighter will be joining us to discuss that story, along with the strange name of a non wrestling apperance WWE Hall Of Fame member Jerry The King Lawler will be making this weekend in the far Chicago suburbs. Join Katie, Steve and Sean tonight.

  • ERN Presents W.A.R.-Wrestling Authority Radio
Last night we got really wrapped up with the subjects we were talking about (as did some people who didn't have the courage to come on the air) so we didn't get into RAW and SmackDown Live. Tonight we promise to correct that.
There are some hot stories involving Matt Hardy and RAW 25. There has also been a leak concerning the main event for Fastlane. The full roster for the Mixed Match Challenge has now been revealed. A rare early video of Triple H has surfaced that was taken during his independent days.Zack Ryder almost got chopped? Indeed he was, and we have the audio of him talking about it. New Japan has a major series of cards upcoming in January and February and we will discuss those.
There was a major name present, and another one absent at last night's SmackDown Live. We'll talk about which was which and why the absent party was absent. All this and more, including a date for Cody Rhodes "All In" show will be discussed tonight with Katie, Steve, Sean and Crusher.

  • ERN Presents Rampage Rants-Tuesday Night Turmoil-Hair Of The Dog
Many times in the past we have blasted things going on in our industry, both within our area as well as nationally. With certain exceptions we've actually been gentle. Tonight, the gloves come off and we may be swearing more than Jim Cornette on one of his rants. You have been warned.
With the phrases "#MeToo" and "Time's Up" trending not just within the entertainment industry but in business and politics we're going to be calling out people whom we personally know, some of whom have been on our programs, who need to be told "Time's Up!". We have held back too long, it's time to stop that, be brave and step up, and let the chips fall where they may. We know we are going to anger and offend people tonight, our response to that is "Too bad" because we are going to be unafraid and tell the truth.
Now just so you don't think this is all going to be an exposé show we are going to discuss current news, including two former Impact talents who became parents. There also may have been a hint of a retired superstar making an appearance on the 25th Anniversary RAW in two weeks. There were two legit injuries last night on RAW, one you saw and one you didn't but it has made a change in the Mixed Match Challenge. Impact Wrestling just landed a new talent who recently was involved in a controversial incident. Chris Jericho has also indicated last Thursday's Wrestle Kingdom match was not a one off.
Sean, Katie and Steve are ready to talk about a wide array of subjects and will NOT be nice. Strap in, because it's going to be a LONG night!

  • ERN Presents W.A.R.-Wrestling Authority Radio W/ GodsPower Lee
The wrestling world is in a state of shock as word came out earlier this afternoon of the sudden passing of Emily Dole, known throughout North America as Mt. Fiji, the top heroine of GLOW, who recieved their long due honors at the Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion last year. We have reached out to our friends from GLOW, inviting them to come on and share memories of their dear friend and sister. No matter who, if anyone, does come on to talk about her we will discuss her career both in and out of the ring.
Our scheduled guest tonight will be calling us from Africa! To make more of how big this is, for those of you who are old enough to remember the famous Rumble In The Jungle fight between the late, great Muhammed Ali and George Foreman, to accomodate American closed circuit audiences, the fight started at 2:00 A.M. in Africa. It will be 3:00 A.M. when we start over there, yet our guest is being gracious and giving up sleep to do our show.
"God's Power" Power Lee is the current AIWF African Champion. He is well known throughout the continent, holding numerous titles from many major promotions. He has become a hero and can count not just other wrestlers, but numerous African political figures as fans of his.
We hope you will enjoy our time of tribute and our first major international wrestling star interview.
