The X-Men's globetrotting adventures continue as they find themselves in Japan, faced with the villainous Moses Magnum who wants to sink Japan FOR REASONS UNKNOWN. Can the X-Men defeat this madman with the help of their proud and irritable former teammate, Sunfire? Adventures ensue, but Banshee plays a heavy price for his part in the action. Then, the merry mutants must return to Wolverine's homeland, the great white North of Canada to face off with a new group of foes... the government sanctioned super team, Alpha Flight! Many of the X-Men are captured, but Cyclops is willing to get them back at any cost... even if it's over Alpha Flight's dead bodies! Will the X-Men succeed against the highest advancements of Canadian technology? I sure hope so, they need to get home!

They're too busy stopping Garrock the Petrified Man who is also a Sun God in his high-tech citadel! All this while Jean, Beast and Chuck have to come to terms with the apparent deaths of their loved ones. Days pass, and we're taking a trip to the past, as Charles captivates us with a tale of his first encounter with Amahl Farouk, the notorious Shadow King, in Cairo many decades ago. Can Charles defeat his enemy in psychic battle on the astral plan? Can Beth and Seanny survive the plot whiplash of these four issues? Let's find out together!

The X-Men are back from space, but even home in the mansion, they don't get a break. As the team try to have a relaxing picnic by the lake, a ghost from Logan's past attacks: CAPTAIN CANADA! Wait... (checking my notes)... I mean, WEAPON ALPHA! With that threat dealt with, maybe the mutants can finally unwind with a game of baseball? NOPE! The X-Men can't even call a telephone repairman without having their own Danger Room turned against them. Will the team ever get a break? Not this week! But at least Beth and Seanny get to take joy in their suffering.

The girls are LOSING their MINDS! Beth is back from Tasmania and not mentally prepared to deal with whatever the hell is going on in Bill Mantlo’s fill in issue. Our merry mutants must face off with themselves! Again! Don’t worry about it! Luckily, Claremont returns by sending the X-Men into space where they face the Imperial Guard, wind up inside the M’Kraan crystal, and knit the fabric of the entire universe back together. DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT! It’s no biggie. I love this comic but my brain hurts!

What is EVEN GOING ON!?!? Our merry mutants commit Grant Theft Hovercraft to reach Muir Island. However, their arch nemesis, the gentleman named MAGNETO is already there. They’re good kids, but Cyclops hasn’t prepared them for this! Making their escape, they plunge headfirst into battle with Firelord, the (former) herald of Galactus and just a big of a hot-head as you would imagine. I don’t know what’s happening and I don’t want to. Just enjoy the ride!
