This episode of the Executive Broadcasting Channel podcast sits down with Owner and Counselor of ME Solutions, Tracey Felix-Thomas.  She began her career mental health in 2002, but she knew from the age of 11 that she wanted to help others through counseling.  She is always learning and trying to better her skills through furthering her education.  Helping people in all areas of life from a depressed two year old to a 67 year old, and everything in-between.

During the summers and weekends Tracey works with the military.  She also is involved within her community in MANY other capacities as well.  Overall what drives her in her career is the ability and desire is help people.  Tracey has received positive feedback validating her choice in careers and shares some anecdotes.

We are truly honored to sit with Mary Lou Parker.  Grand Chief of the Eastern Woodland Métis Nation in Nova Scotia, Canada.  She and her husband started the movement in 1973 to help to have the public understand and embrace them and their heritage.  Her father first told her about her lineage when she was 13 years old.

Her duties as Grand Chief are to advise and educate her people about their beliefs, ways, heritage, and culture.  Mary Lou also tries to educate them on how to be a leader as well as the complete genealogy of the Métis.  She and three others founded the group in 1973, now the number has ballooned to several thousand registered members.

Mary Lou also gives advise to whomever what to help preserve the history and culture of their people…

Today’s episode we sit down with Independent Representative, Eva Perlman.  Her career has gone from pediatric nurse to her current position as an independent representative, and many other careers in-between.

She is consistently learning.  She believes, “when you stop learning you die”.  She’s 82 years young and is still learning daily!

Today’s episode of the Executive Broadcasting Channel podcast features Special Education Advocate, Pam Labellarte.  As a parent of three, two of which have disabilities, she has been providing Special Education Advocacy to individuals and their families for the past 14 years.  As her children grew, she realized the path she needed to take.  She gave up her job as an IT professional and began special education full time.

Pam acts as the “middleman” to advocate for the child and parents with the school boards, to ensure the child gets what they need to help them!

This episode of the Executive Broadcasting Channel podcast is all about artist and innovator, Kay Lamb Shannon, owner of Strokes of Perfection.  She has a unique technique of presenting her favorite subjects of wildlife and nostalgia in detailed realism.  Her love of art started when she was a young child.  Her mother fanned that flame by sending to art classes as a teen.  She went on to receive a degree in art and began teaching.  Then in an effort to support her family, Strokes of Perfection was born.  “What has made me today, is studying different people’s artwork!” (more…)
