He began writing press releases while with the Coast Guard Public Relations department. From there he began working with the media which morphed into writing public interest stories and marketing for the Coast Guard in magazines. This week’s edition of the Executive Broadcast Channel’s podcast features Frank “Sandy” Ingersoll, President & CEO of SRI Diversified Capital, LLC.  With over 40 years of professional investment experience, he began his career on Wall Street as a portfolio analyst and quickly rose through the ranks to join the investment banking team at Oppenheimer.  After ten years in New York, Sandy exercised his entrepreneurial spirit by starting his own boutique firm in San Antonio, KRI Growth Stocks.  KRI specialized in financing early stage, high growth technology companies. KRI helped to spawn dozens of successful companies including U.S. Long Distance, which became the fasting growing zero plus dialing company in the country and was eventually purchased by Qwest Communications.  In 1995, Sandy retired from the investment business to pursue his love for writing.  Over the past five years, recent innovations in horizontal fracking have created enormous opportunities for investment.

This podcast episode on The Executive Broadcasting Channel features Dr. Salar Ahmed Khan, Research Compliance Officer at Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chicago, IL.  In his current position, it is Salar’s responsibility to provide research oversight and interpretation of VA Federal Regulation related to human subjects, research on animals, research safety, research laboratory security, research information security, and research misconduct requirements.  When he was a much younger man he had no interest in medicine.  It took his father’s encouragement to start him on this path.  We asked about that he said, ““At first, I had no desire to become a doctor, but I accepted my father’s challenge and worked hard to honor it.  I got admitted in the Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, one of the best medical schools in South East Asia at that time. That was one of the happiest moments in me and my father’s life. Whatever professional achievements I have today it was only due to my parents and I salute them for that.”

This edition of the Executive Broadcasting Channel podcast welcomes Dr. James C. Curl, a life-long scholar and educator.  As with every tale there is an origin story.  His began after he received his BA in Mathematics in 1963 when he became a volunteer tutor for his local YMCA.  The teaching bug bit him then and still inspires him 45 years later.  During those 45 years as an educator, he has achieved nearly all his dreams as a young teacher.  He as inspired and educated countless people, authored books, created a state organization for community college math teachers, developed new curriculums, designed a distance learning courses using streaming video on the Internet, obtained a doctorate, spoke at local, state, and national conferences, and started a consulting and publishing company.
