Clutch play, and heroic efforts pay off for Exeter

Deal for Promenade in place, RCC to possibly be optioned for sale at Monday meeting

The Exeter school board will have a relatively light discussion agenda for the March 5th COW meeting.

Exeter Township has filed a revision to their lawsuit against Supervisor David Hughes. In the original “Exeter Township v David Hughes”, the township attempted to get a temporary and permanent injunction pressed against Hughes for his publishing of what they term are “attorney client privileged” materials. 

The Exeter Township Board of Supervisors (and George Bell)  is seeing the ugly contention that gripped the board for the last two years creep back in after a February 26th meeting in which members voiced concerns about “grandstanding” by member Dave Hughes. 

According to the agenda of the Exeter Board of Supervisors meeting of February 26th,  the following issues will come up.

The Exeter Township Supervisors approved MORE baseless legal spending in their Monday night meeting. 

A seemingly humdrum meeting of the Exeter Supervisors, save for a couple of items, both involving the Solicitor.

In a ruling issued on February 6th, and posted on the 7th to the Berks Prothonotary’s website,  Judge James Gavin ruled that the township’s complaint is dismissed without prejudice, ruling heavily against Exeter Township in their attempt to waste taxpayer money chasing legal phantoms. 

The Exeter school board got a first look at the 2024-25 budget at the February Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting.
