December 11, 2022Morocco and religionGreetings from Morocco 🇲🇦 we went on an organized student trip to Morocco, visited cities and the desert🏜️ it was beautiful but there were also a lot of things that provoked some thoughts within us. This is just a brain dump of one of the many incredibly bus rides. It might make sense, it might not. But I was fun. Do with it what you will :D happy 3rd of advent 🕯️...more15minPlay
November 29, 2022Everything changes, alwaysWe tend to see change positive. That’s at least what we say. In theory we know that change is good because something new will come from it. But would anyone agree when I say it’s good when someone dies? Well I highly doubt that (depends on the person…). And I would also say that NO ONE is really immune to this slight discomfort of change. Especially when it’s not a change we wanted or had planned. So I think if we would perceive change as positive, life would look a lot different. We wouldn’t be stuck that long in situations we don’t like but we are to lazy to change. We can’t change the fact that climate is changing or that a loved one is dying. But what we can always change is our attitude towards that. When we focus too much on the bad aspects of the change, we cannot work with it. We will be desperate about the climate situation and desperate about our friend dying. But we can’t change change. We can only work with it. And the first step is to accept change. All kinds of change. I’m happy to hear your thoughts 🤗...more22minPlay
November 17, 2022Your inner dialogue and self-confidence5 people (on Instagram —> @experienca) showed an interest in the topic of dialogue and confidence so I just trusted them and ventured into the topic. Because my metaphysics teacher said that dialogue and friendship is based on confidence, I applied that whole concept to myself! What happens if I loose confidence? There’s no dialogue with my self anymore. I don’t have opinions, I don’t have a voice. But I think there’s a way to find that voice again. Because the dialogue with yourself is so important, without that, you won’t be able to have a dialogue with others. If you feel lost, this might help you. If you don’t, this still might be entertaining. If you know anyone that might find this interesting, please share 🤭 peace out!...more20minPlay
November 10, 2022S h a m e (l e s s ?)I walked around with an open zipper at the back of my pants - which meant that everyone who was looking saw my behind… well I could have cried because of shame or I could have laughed. Luckily, I laughed. You have to admit it is quite funny! Then I wondered: where does shame come from? Why do we feel it? What do we fear? So, let’s explore 🎒...more31minPlay
November 01, 2022Episodic and narrative thinkingWhat is that? I am trying to explain that. Mostly though, I am talking about my experience of narrative thinking, what I think episodic thinking is and what both modes have as benefits. So what can you take from it? I don’t know. Maybe you will be fascinated because I certainly am. Maybe you will think about your life a bit more. I don’t know - I just hope you enjoy and that the episodic thinkers can answer my questions. Thank you 🍊...more25minPlay
October 13, 2022U n c e r t a i n t yTo me, life right now presents a chaos of uncertainty. This can be extremely unsettling because I am often scared of not knowing (I hope many people are). To live with this uncertainty requires some strategies and in my tested experience, I can live with uncertainty much better when I make myself realise that 1. Failure isn’t definite because there is never just one way to do things and 2. Only my expectations determine what I interpret as failure. So if we try to losen our expectations just a tiny bit (that doesn’t necessarily mean changing your goal) life might just be a little easier 🤧 what do you think friends?...more22minPlay
October 05, 2022What are we saying?LANGUAGE! After extensive thinking, I have come to the conclusion that language creates our reality to a great extent. That is also what wise people around me have suggested. Yes, language is first and foremost for communication. Or is it? I can communicate my experiences the easiest through language. But I also think that the way we think and speak greatly shapes our experiences as well. If we experience something that we can’t put into words, does it exist? Of course it does, but we can’t prove it… another interesting question: if speaking kinder with ourselves and thereby improving the perception of our reality, why don’t we do it more often? Ponder with me! 🌷...more19minPlay
September 23, 2022S u b j e c t i v i t yWho am I? What is the truth? And what am I even saying? I don’t know! But that proves the point! The only thing is that I know nothing. And that is okay because we don’t always have to know who we are. It gives room for development. We should also know that we are not what others say. We have our own truth and so does everyone else. And if we understand that, I think it makes us more sensible towards others as well. Understand yourself in order to understand others. That doesn’t mean putting yourself in a box. It mainly means that you understand that what you think is valid. And what others think is just as valid. Do you know who you are? Of course! And of course not!...more22minPlay
September 15, 2022I wonder whyWe can’t wonder all day long, at one point we have to get used to things. Get used to the fact that we don’t know everything. This can produce fear at times - the fear of the unknown. However, I think the counterpart of fear can be curiosity! Asking yourself questions about daily things can open up your perspective and most importantly, make life way more fun! Why are you listening to this? That might be a first question to consider....more20minPlay
September 06, 2022F e a r - what about it?Fear is weird. Fear is one of the most unpleasant feelings. It is everywhere, sometimes it’s rational, logical and a lot of times it is just absurd and irrational. I think that understanding fears or just accepting them is a very great way to manage them and also get sensitive towards one another! Don’t be afraid ❤️ love your enemies bros!...more26minPlay
