Join us as we chat with Patricia Cameron, author of Grief Unwrapped: Discovering Joy in a Season of Sorrow. When Patricia's husband passed away suddenly at 45, she couldn't imagine living with joy ever again. Then God stepped in and changed everything. Patricia shares how God worked in her life to help her navigate grief, laugh and celebrate again, discover a deep sense of purpose and identity beyond her circumstances, and find the courage to step once again into true joy.

More about Patricia: Raised among the cypress trees and bayous of the Louisiana Delta, Patricia Cameron learned early on to cherish God and family. Losing her husband unexpectedly at 45 tested her faith, but also set in motion the desire to help others see that God is worthy of praise, even in times of grief. Her late husband's zest for life inspired Patricia to live her own, fully aware of God's presence, power and purpose — and to encourage others to do the same. It is her desire that others experiencing great loss will know they can survive any season of suffering. And not only survive but go on to become better and stronger as they press on to know God and discover His will for their lives.
Over the past couple of episodes, we have been talking lately about revival and what everyday Kingdom living looks like. Today, we wanted to take some time to tell you how Revive Ministries got started and why grounding our identity in Christ is so important to living Kingdom life and experiencing revival in our everyday lives.
So many women struggle with experiencing abundant life because we live in a world that makes it hard to see our own belovedness and value. It can be a struggle to know who we are and where we are going, let alone who God is. But when our identity is grounded in Christ, it changes everything!

During the busy holiday season, it's easy to get swept up in a current of activities, school programs, shopping, baking, and of course squeezing in as many Hallmark movies as possible. For some, it is a difficult time of year as they are missing loved ones, or going through a season of uncertainty. No matter what you are facing, it is our prayer that you would still be able to experience God's presence and catch a glimpse of the Divine, even in the ordinary everyday things. We'll share some practical things you can do to end your year intentionally and lean into the love, joy, hope, and peace that Christ offers.

We've all experienced the sting of rejection at one time or another. Whether it's as a kid not getting picked at recess, as an adult not getting a job promotion, or simply longing for someone to love us the way we love them. No matter what the cause, rejection can leave us feeling like we are not enough and negatively affect how we see ourselves. In this episode, Summer talks with Kristi Fleming, author of the new book, Rescued, Redeemed, and Restored. Kristi shares her own experience, as well as from stories of the Bible, to help others navigate and heal from painful seasons of rejection, and start believing that they are enough. She also shares practical steps to help stay rooted in your identity in Christ, as well as insight into how family and friends can walk alongside a loved one who is hurting.

More about the Rescued, Redeemed, and Restored:
Will the pain of rejection ever go away? Have you ever been rejected or told you were not enough? The pain can thrust you into brokenness that some people never come out of. Rescued, Redeemed, and Restored is about how God can heal even the most hopeless situations. Through my personal testimony and paralleling Biblical stories, you will see how God can redeem even the worst of our pain and give us purpose through it. Born out of a season of rejection Rescued, Redeemed, and Restored will take you through:
There is purpose in your pain and God is not finished with you yet!
We've been talking all month about prayer on our podcast and in our devotional emails. When things are going well, finding the words to express our gratitude to God seems pretty easy. But when life gets tough and we are weary, we can sometimes find ourselves at a loss for words. It can be hard to know how and what to pray about.
Our guest today is best-selling author Suzanne Eller, and her latest book, Prayer Starters, is designed to help you get the conversation going with God when life is especially hard. Suzie shares her heart behind Prayer Starters and the amazing things that God can do when we "just show up."
Suzie also served as a writer and speaker for Proverbs 31 Ministries for 14 years. She's a co-host, along with Holley Gerth and Jennifer Watson, of the More Than Small Talk podcast with the KLRC network, and also the host of Prayer Starters, a daily prayer podcast. She has been featured on Focus on the Family, Aspiring Women, Harvest Show, 100 Huntley Street, KLOVE, DayStar, and many others.
Suzie is mom to three grown children and their spouses, wife to Richard, and "Gaga" to six beautiful grandchildren. She loves kayaking, hiking, and dancing with her littles at the Farmer's Market.
