Today I reflect on how I built my professional foundation and how it resonates with me. The foundation I've built is what supports my purpose in life. Understanding why I think doing the things that I do and practice instills who I am. How's your foundation? What's your purpose?

The podcast is taking a summer break! In this podcast episode, I discuss the importance of mental health, give an update on my PCMA North American Student Competition Team, and discuss the future of the Extraordinary Events Podcast! See you in the fall!

Surprise! I am switching things up a bit this week! Instead of an industry spotlight for today's episode, I wanted to share and discuss some topics that have made me have a huge self realization over the past week! In this episode, I discuss how important it is to not only know the purpose of the events you plan, but to also know YOUR purpose as well, how we won't always have the answer for everything, as well as how even though events are everything, they cannot solve every problem.

In this podcast episode, I explain the rubric I use to grade my Intro to Events final projects, how I disagree with the vast majority of higher education in regards to the importance of understanding digital engagement and how participating in an interview last week for an association inspired today's podcast.

Ensuring that every attendee feels included at your event is a critical step in the event planning process! In this podcast episode, Megan Cook gives simple steps to ensure that your event is inclusive to all event attendees. These steps include elements such as food choices, accessibility, using proper pronouns, etc. Implementing these elements into your event will create a better experience for event attendees, and ensure that every attendee feels seen and heard.

Do you want best practices on how to negotiate your salary with a future employer? In this podcast episode, I give my best tips + tricks on salary negotiation, how to effectively market yourself and your abilities to a company, as well as how to find the average salary of your position not only in your city, but at the company you are negotiating with.

In this very special podcast episode, I interview my four event leaders from this semester! Addisyn Dupler, the overall event leader, Kenzie Brabec and Amy Day, the two in-person event  leaders, as well as Lillian Nguyen, the online event leader. This interview is packed with very insightful information from all of the leaders and we have an insightful conversation about their key takeaways from the event, and what they wish they would have known before taking the Advanced Event Operations course!
