Options are limited right now and with high risks. Most are unable to invest in long-term solutions.Collaborations with governments and ports are needed in green corridors to support the investments.Many aspects and challenges remain, but we need to gain exposure and education on them as a first step to solving them.

Our discussion will be framed by the recent survey Lloyd’s Register (LR) undertook with the UK Chamber of Shipping and the Mission to Seafarers that assessed the impact of COVID-19 on the maritime workforce.

This online survey was targeted at employees across the global maritime industry and ran for three months between June and September 2020.
