One week on from the dodgy start, episode #2 is plain sailing. In this first show proper though, we had some 90s Scottish punk, some 30s Polish piano, and something from Scotland’s album of the year, and much more.

This is the first of a series of shows presented on Radio Kampus in Warsaw. Kampus, the station attached to Warsaw University’s school of journalism, broadcasts on 97.1FM locally, and online.

My first show was very much a “thrown in at the deep-end” experience, as not only was I presenting, but producing also. Added to that, someone wasn’t told my show was starting this evening and as I faded up the mic to make my first link, the night playlist seemed to kick in. Cue panic, inexperience, and “how the hell do I deal with this?!” I recovered quickly but embarrassed and thrown a little for the rest of the show. I consider this very much a pilot. The “real” show starts next week. *cough*

Not to worry though, the selection of music is fantastic, from Punk, to avant garde modern classical it’s a wide spectrum on the first show.

As I’m uploading this 5 weeks on, I can tell you - with great relief - there’s been no further shows quite like this one.
