Explore and Draw

Join me on another sketch walk- this time exploring very close to home- Mullion Meadows and the views over by the Llama fields. I really wanted to capture the bright greens that are typical of Spring-time. I pre-painted my pages with ink and a little sprinkling of salt and sketched on top of them with a mix of media- mostly neocolor II crayons and luminance pencils. A very calm and quiet morning with a steady flow of dog walkers.

In today’s episode join me on a fresh, windy walk from Ruan Minor down to the sea. I spot common dog violets, lesser celandine, blackthorn, and gorse.

Join me on my morning walk and a quest to find a place in the sun to sketch.

Today I’ll be exploring the area just above Mullion Cove. Taking you through a cut-through that leads to a stream and copse. We’ll then ascend the cliff along a rocky path and find a point to sketch overlooking the sea cliffs below. We’ll encounter lichen in abundance, bumblebees, cliffside cows and a lot of sea mist.
