It’s because in the past, someone else defined whether you were more American or Asian - your peers, your neighbors or the government. But today, one’s identity is much more of a personal journey based on self determination. Though one cannot change the opinion of others, it is up to you to decide who you are. Before, there were laws that perpetuated racist treatment and prevented them from having a choice. Now, in the present, the difference is that it comes down to choice.

This is Samantha, Jeremy's younger, middle sister. Since omicron slowed down, tourism is speeding up. So of course I'm headed to White Sands . . . National Park, that is. It's not a beach but a sand dune.
Scientists recently found fossilized footprints dated 23,000 years ago here at White Sands. This is several thousand years earlier than thought.
Why does White Sands have the earliest evidence of humans in North America? Do you want to learn about what lives in these dunes? Then come join me, Samantha, and let’s enjoy the white sands of Hawaii . . . no! Florida . . . no! New Mexico! IN REAL LIFE!

Hi, this is Madeline, Jeremy’s younger sister. I’m in California’s Death Valley National Park, the hottest, driest, and lowest place on Earth. I’ve found one place COVID’s omicron variant can’t catch me!
Death Valley is the largest national park outside of Alaska and 282 feet BELOW sea level. Its unique landscape is famous for being Luke Skywalker's home planet Tatooine in the original Star Wars trilogy.
So, is there only death in this valley? Do you want to learn about finding life in barren places?
Then come join me, Madeline, to explore the hottest, driest, and lowest part of Earth! IN REAL LIFE!

Hey everyone! Happy Thanksgiving! I’m here in central Texas at McKinney Roughs, a 1,100 acre nature park that is home to four different ecosystems. I’m learning multiple interesting survival facts, from a friend who likes to call himself Eli the Nature Guy. He is an environmentalist who loves telling others about nature tips and how to survive in the wild. He helped me learn so many things, like how to filter drinkable water, what to eat when lost in the woods, how to make a fire, and how to build a shelter.
So, what are we doing in this episode? We’re going to learn about the top three most important things to do first in the wild if you are lost, and finding food isn’t one of them. Then we’ll learn more about surviving as I give you some survival tips and tricks. So sit back and relax while you can, because believe me, trying to survive in the wild won’t have air conditioned comfort.

Hi everyone! I’m here in Zion National Park, which is located in southwestern Utah just above the Arizona border. It’s renowned for its towering, red-rock cliffs and river canyon. It is one of the most popular US parks, due to a paved road in the heart of the steep canyon that affords easy access to lookouts, hiking and canyoneering, diverse lodging and dining options in the nearby town of Springdale, and proximity to Las Vegas. Sounds like a winner to me!
In this episode I’m going to talk about the SLUE process that is happening in all the geological structures in Utah and I’m going to end with a special bloopers segment to get you listeners behind the scenes with me!
Thanks to Ranger Mike, Ranger Seth, and Ranger Eric for helping me with my podcast by teaching my sisters and me so many new things!

Well, now that summer’s over, we’re in need of weather-appropriate, socially-distanced activities. The answer? Stargazing! The place? Colorado.
When you hear Colorado, you probably think of: mountain landscapes, alpine skiing, Denver Broncos, and craft beer. If you’re over 21!
I’ve spent the last three weeks exploring every national park in Colorado and I can only think of one thing: stargazing! Why? Colorado offers high elevation, dry air, and little light pollution, all of which help make it the perfect state for watching the stars.
In this episode, I am only going to have a why is it unique segment, but as a special treat, I have two talented reporters who are on the scene with me. So, you can now grab a craft beer, sit back, relax, and learn about Colorado’s national parks.

I’m in Eastern Oregon, in a small, rural town named for American trapper John Day. But John Day isn’t known for hunting or gold. It houses a literal time capsule documenting Chinese migration and adaptation to American life.
Ten years earlier than my great, great grandfather’s journey, Doctor Ing Hay immigrated from the same region in China to John Day, Oregon. While I've never seen mementos from my great, great grandfather’s trunk, Ing Hay left behind a time capsule that is a National Historic Landmark and Oregon State Heritage Site.
So, do you want to learn how a Chinese doctor and businessman started the first car dealership in John Day despite the Chinese exclusion act? If you do, wait no longer. Come explore with me, Jeremy, in real life!

In this episode, I’m going to explain how they were formed by the battle of volcanoes and glaciers, the unique features of each, and a story-time competition as we relax by the fire?
So, do you want to hike in the pitch-black Lava River Cave, 81 feet underground, swim in the pristine-blue waters of Crater Lake and swoon over the power of fire and ice?
