In today's podcast episode we will discuss the artist Caravaggio and his painting Conversion of St. Paul. We will also be going over art connoisseurs Jacob Burckardt, Bernard Berenson, and Rudolf Wittkower lives and careers. Also answering the question of whether or not Wittkower is right, Burckhardt and Berenson have completely misinterpreted the work by making too much of the horse or If Burckhardt and Berenson were right, Wittkower is wrong, and the horse cannot be ignored and how do we decide which of these great writers is right?

In this episode of Exploring Art Podcast, Helen and Gaby will be solving a case study that explores African mask interpretations. To solve the case study, they will be answering some questions on African culture in different regions and what special meaning these masks may hold.

Digging deeper into what is perceived when it comes to propositions dealing with facts or fantasy. We will be looking into if something can be true and false, or neither, and why it all matters.

In this podcast, we talked about Caravaggios, Jacob Burckhardt, Bernard Berenson, and Rudolf Wittkower's life and works. We mentioned what an art connoisseur is and what they do and which of these artists are the art connoisseurs. We discussed Caravaggio's painting “Conversion of St.Paul” and who critiqued it. At the end we discussed the symbolism of the horse and if it is important or if we can just ignore it.
