In this podcast, we, Jorge, Paul, and Hanah talked about one of the masterpieces

of Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio also known as Caravaggio - Conversion of St. Paul. We analyzed the artwork and discussed our understanding of the subject and what they represent. We discussed the comments of the nine-teenth-century critic Jacob Burckhardt, art connoisseur Bernard Berenson, and art historian Rudolf Wittkower to Caravaggio's Conversion of St. Paul. We argued if Burckhardt and Berenson's comments are correct than Wittkower and finished up the podcast on our insights if it's a big deal that the horse takes up the majority of the artwork and not St. Paul himself.

A realistic story does not have to take place in our days and our surroundings; it can portray life in a remote location or in past times, but it seeks to adjust as much as possible to the uses and customs of those societies. This podcast will discuss Raphael's work during the Renaissance and amongst other artists, and we will discuss whether the realism in their work is real or unreal.
