Exploring Improv

Today's guest is Tezz Yancey. Tezz is a Los Angeles based Improviser, actor, singer, dancer, musician, writer, producer and director with over 20 years of performing and teaching experience. He made his Broadway debut at age 14, headlined his own shows in Las Vegas, produced multiple recording and film score projects and is a working Film and television actor in Hollywood. He trained at the Boston conservatory and Berklee in musical theater and production and has traveled the world teaching master classes and workshops.

In this episode we talk about diverging paths in scenes, being present as both a player and a teacher, bringing your unique voice, and much more.

Today's guest is Michelle Gilliam. Michelle is an improviser, coach, and teacher in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she is the owner and artistic director of Improv MKE. She is also a pillar of the global online improv community, where she runs jams and teaches classes with both Improv MKE and Will Hines' World's Greatest Improv School.

In this episode we discuss many improv topics including being real humans on stage, making your partner break, and short form versus longform improv. Michelle also offers advice on how to not otherize our partners, avoid stereotypes, play to the top of your intelligence, and to say no when you need to.

Today's guest is Francisco Antillón. Francisco is an improviser, coach, and teacher at the Assembly Mexico in Mexico City. He is also host of a wonderfully succinct and informative podcast called "Long Form Short Pod", and author of the book "Long Form Short Book".

In this episode of Exploring Improv, I speak with Kimberly Alu. Kimberly is an improviser and teacher in New York City.
