In v. 8 we learn that 1) The book of Revelation can be overwhelming.

In v. 8a we see that a) God has revealed His plan for the end of the earth and eternity future to His people.

Revelation 22:6-7 covers the topic of "The Nature of Revelation." This section starts the epilogue, or final section of Revelation. And here, we are working with the idea thatwe ought to be encouraged when we read Revelation!What would cause us to be encouraged? There are four encouraging factors in this section that steer us toward that end.

In v. 6a we noted first 1) An Angelic Declaration.

Then, in v. 6b we saw 2) An Angelic Revelation.

Now, in v. 7a we consider 3) A Divine Assurance.

And finally, in v. 7b we see 4) A Divine Promise.

Then, in v. 10 we looked at 2) The view of the city.

In vv. 11-21, we saw 3) The Description of the City.

Then, in v. 22 we noted 4) The Reality of the City.

Today, in v. 23 we see 5) The Light of the City.

In vv. 24-26, we learn of 6) The Operation of the City.

And finally, in v. 27 we see 7) The Purity of the City.
