Extra Credit with Teacher Michael

Stacey sits down to chat about the best side hustles for teachers! Some of them are teacher-related but some are not. A great episode for anyone interested in building a little income on the side of their main gig.

Devin and I had a great chat about his experience at the VIPKid Journey Conference in Chicago, what he learned in Nancy Taylor's workshop, and why new teachers should be thinking about "failing forward" instead of just failing.

Teacher Sarah stops by to chat about the VIPKid Journey conference, meeting CEO Cindy Mi, and the supportive nature of the VIPKid Teachers of Color Facebook group!

VIPKid Teacher Megan stops by to chat about her online teacher bookclub, podcasts, balancing her teacher duties with at home farm-life and much more!

Today is my first solo episode since re-launching the Extra Credit podcast! Thank you for everyone who submitted questions through Instagram for this episode, I couldn't have done it without you!

Some of the questions I answered:

- Do you consider yourself a teacher or entertainer first?

- Do you have any days where you don't feel like teaching? How do you stay motivated?

- How can someone start to build their referral business?

Teacher Jennifer - aka the 2D Prop Queen - has been impacting the VIPKid community online for quite some time and I was thrilled to get a chance to talk with her at length about all things VIPKid!

Todays episode covers Jennifer's recent trip to China, how she grew her YouTube channel to 10k subscribers, and how it feels to be voted a VIPKid top community contributor.

Today I'm speaking with long-time VIPKid teacher Jennifer. We cover a range of topics including how to keep things fresh and engaging for your regular students, something I've certainly struggled with in the past. Thanks for listening!

Becca is a Canadian VIPKid teacher who has been living and working in the UK for the past while. Today we talk all about how to make your teaching and travel dreams come true!

Anna is a veteran VIPKid teacher and has a lot to share about her journey into the world of teaching ESL online. In today's episode we talk a lot about balance, both balancing VIPKid teaching with family life and also balancing multiple ESL platforms (gogokid & VIPKid).

Lisa has been teaching online for over a year and in that short time has managed to earn herself more than 600 5-apple reviews! Not bad!! In this interview she talks about her involvement with some of VIPKid's pilot programs, including the rural education project, as well as how she's managed to keep such a clean record when it comes to reviews.
