Extra..Ordinary episodes

  • Amber Rayelyn

In the premiere episode of Chapter Two, Taylore sits down with her baby sister, Amber (@ambermulllins) in an honest and raw chat about their lives and childhood. They discuss how different they've turned out from each other even having that same childhood, while remaining incredibly similar. Amber speaks openly about the hurt she's felt from her older sister in the past, and how that translates to her life now. They also discuss at-length the love they share for Netflix's CHEER and Amber's deal to join Navarro. For a premiere episode, we couldn't ask for more!

  • Rainbow Connection

The season finale of Chapter One! As a way to wrap up your time and emotions spent on listening, Taylore dedicates an episode to happy and funny stories. (Wouldn't want to drain the life out of you, right?)
The most waited-for story of all, though, is that of meeting her surrogate father, Dax Shepard on Ellen, why it meant so much to her, and her experience through that surreal and beautiful day in her life. She talks about what she's looking forward to in her future, and the future of Extra..Ordinary; where we go from here.

  • Terrible Things

In the second-to-last episode of the season, Taylore discusses her darkest times in life around her struggle with mental health and addiction. She takes us through her struggles starting in early childhood, all the way until now, as an (almost) adult.  Interested in the study of ACEs, (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Taylore teaches us about one of the most intriguing Armchair Expert facts she's learned so far, how early childhood trauma can impact us for the rest of our lives in Terrible Things.

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode is heavy with talk of mental health issues such as depression, eating disorders, self harm, drug addiction, and suicide. Please take care of yourself while listening.

  • Fathers Be Good to Your Daughters

"Fathers Be Good to Your Daughters / daughters will live like you do."

In the most raw and vulnerable episode of Extra..Ordinary yet, Taylore brings us along on a journey as she recounts her experience with having an abusive father. She recounts how incredibly in-love she was with him, and how all she wanted was to receive his unattainable love. Through the pain, suffering and trauma, Taylore removes all masks in this episode, laying it out for us in a true, and honest way.

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode goes into heavy detail about domestic violence and child abuse instances. Please take care of yourself and others while listening.

  • In Your Daughter's Eyes

Mothers and daughters; perhaps one of the most difficult relationship dynamics in our world. Taylore carries us through her 21-year long struggle with finding understanding with her own mother, and why she made the wrong choice is choosing which parent to copy-cat as a child. Placing blame on her mother, she discusses why she felt the need to push her mom away, and how their relationship has matured since.

*******TW: This episode has a brief part in speaking about domestic violence. If you are someone who may not be in the right headspace to listen to those details, I highly encourage you to maybe sit this one out. I love you regardless. *********

  • Bad Choices, Bad Friends

We all make bad choices, as Taylore reiterates. She takes us back to a time in which she was making constant bad choices - in life, and with the people she surrounded herself with. Trying to help us understand the "why," Taylore discusses how her abandonment issues had her always searching for someone to keep in her life, her fantasy of being in a "real family", and how that mindset turned her into a different person all-together. What bad-friend was the turning point for her to change?

  • Boys, Boys, Boys
As a child who had been abused by a man, Taylore goes over her setbacks when it came to finally coming "online" to the world of boys. She emphasizes her extreme fear of having to talk to boys, the mistakes she made when it came to choosing boys, and why she felt so excluded from them. Taylore speaks from the heart about the time she finally chose correctly, and her experience with being in love with someone who really loved her back. Expressing how she feels today about them, Boys, Boys, Boys is all about - exactly that.

  • "Speak Up!"

In the Premiere episode, an anxious Taylore discusses her struggle with finding her physical and emotional voice as a shy kid, and how becoming involved with theatre changed the direction of her life. She exposes the consequences she faced from not being able to "Speak Up!" in life, including almost being expelled in middle school. While discussing her goals in starting this podcast, Taylore discloses how hard it is sometimes to open yourself up to people, and hopes to change that for herself starting with Extra..Ordinary.
