We’ve got some interesting pieces lined up for you guys today. First, Marissa brings you a look at some local NC news. She reports on a potentially discriminating law and a controversial billboard. Next, Rachel Jones brings you an interview with the founders of 231 Coffee.

First, Marissa brings you an opinion piece about the rising costs of college. Then, Andre brings you an interview with Zack Selwaeh, a local musician. Finally, Jeremy brings you an interview with King Gino, a local rapper from Raleigh.

Marissa Jerden and Andre Corbett look at the March For Our Lives event on the local level this past weekend here in Raleigh, followed by a recap of the demonstration and protest in Washington D.C., brought to you by Rachel Jones. Following that we’ll have Jeremy Evivie’s interview with Sonny Miles, another NC State student and musician who this past year opened for T.I. at our annual NC State homecoming.

And then, Brice Farrell interviews Candy from Tuffy’s on his segment “They Know Stuff.” And then after the break, we’ll have a brief discussion about the Austin bombings and NCSU Graduate school rankings.

In today's episode, we cover the Krispy Kreme Challenge, the Winter Olympics and the history of Valentine's Day. Then Matt Schneider brings you a wrap up of the 2018 State of the Union Address.

After becoming interested in how bands from across the country were able to form a tight-knit Do-it-Yourself or DIY, community, Marissa Jerden decided to combine her love of music and journalism to investigate her own local community. The result was “The Living Room Experience” which explores the origin of DIY music and Raleigh’s own vibrant music scene. She interviewed multiple “DIY venue” owners and local bands to put together a comprehensive look at how local music not only survives, but thrives below the mainstream surface because of interpersonal connections and dedication to art.

First, Andre Corbett interviews Patrick Blak Roze Hines, a local comedian, whose work has blown up recently. And after, Marissa interviews Dr. Paul Byrne about his research on planetary geology. After the break, we’ll discuss the state of the union address tonight and WKNC’s Double Barrel Benefit.
