We admit this film preached to the choir. But the story of Dawn Brancheau and her tragic death as highlighted in Blackfish, is about much more than simply cruelty to animals. This movie is about cruelty and reckless endangerment committed against humans as well. We also learn Emma can't take pictures of Ezra very well.

This week, Emma and Ezra hatch a plan to stop Robert Zemeckis from making his movie based on the true story told in Man On Wire, a riveting documentary about Philippe Petit's tightrope walk between the World Trade Center towers in 1974. Also, Ezra cries a little.

After a technical delay, here is our discussion of Horns!  We take a look at the theological, philosophical and metaphysical subjects this movie attempts to convey, and how many of the filmmaking techniques lent themselves towards that goal.

Is it possible to make an anti-war movie? Is Apocalypse Now even an anti-war movie or just an anti-Vietnam War movie? Or both? Ezra subjects Emma to this Coppola masterpiece that, while not as graphic as modern war movies, examines the darkest corners of the human soul that still shocks and informs us today. Can we come back from this, "Horror?"
