City of God is one of the most acclaimed films ever made, but we do not recommend watching it if you have a fever, as it may trigger hallucinations like Emma had! Ezra basically churns out the plot while Emma chimes in on how disturbing the violence was, yet necessary to tell the real story of street gangs in Rio de Janeiro. Hard to watch, but fun to listen to! Enjoy!

In this film chosen by Emma, we have a lively, insightful conversation about feminism and its different waves over the past 40 years in relation to the plot of Itty Bitty Titty Committee.  Ezra highlights the film's story strengths and how the movie is more about the people than the movement, which effectively communicates its message about feminism. A must see for all filmmakers, male and female.

Chosen by Emma, Ezra revisits a film he did not like the first time he saw it years ago and discovers a new appreciation for it. Meanwhile, Emma breaks down each character's quirks and emotional fears, even setting up a fantastic discussion about Hitchcock and Anderson and true filmmaking at its purest. Happy New Year!
