The team at F1 Drive to Describe are back to recap Formula 1’s testing season ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, diving into the biggest questions as the grid prepares to hit Melbourne.
Do Ferrari genuinely have a race-winning car? Could McLaren slide backwards? Just how rough might things get for Aston Martin? We also unpack Williams arriving late to the party, try to make sense of the confusing new regulations, and wonder how on earth they’ll be explained on the broadcast.
Elsewhere, we discuss Lando’s latest flip-flopping, Max’s long-term future in the sport, and run through our worst-case scenarios as the 2026 season gets ready to roar into life.

The team are all back on deck as we edge closer to the F1 season opener in Melbourne! This week, we return with our annual track auction — this time with a twist.
For 2026, we’re introducing a new segment where the owner of each track must blindly vouch for the excellence of the race… no matter how badly it goes. Regret is inevitable.
Will James bid heavily on Silverstone? Do bears shit in the woods? Will the new Madrid circuit attract serious interest? And can all four hosts avoid bidding on Barcelona quickly enough?
It’s a very strange way to preview the season ahead, but if you enjoy James talking for roughly 75% of a podcast, this one’s for you. Tune in to find out who walks away with the best six-track lineup for 2026.

After an off-season sabbatical, the team at F1 Drive to Describe are back with their wildly unhinged 2026 predictions.
One host invents a brand-new word (“gridded”), one has clearly been day-drinking and completely misunderstands an entire segment—somehow predicting a death—and the other is James, already bathing in George Russell dominance before a single wheel has turned.
We run through stocks up and stocks down for every team, with Nathan managing to get an entire team’s driver lineup wrong. Rusty? Just a bit.
Along the way, we ponder the rumours of Mercedes dominance, question McLaren’s true pace, debate whether Oscar’s championship window was a one-year opportunity, and analyse the peculiar case of the missing Williams team.
We wrap things up with driver head-to-heads as Drive to Describe returns for another chaotic, opinionated, and questionably informed season of Formula 1.

With Formula 1 officially in hibernation, the team return for the final episode of 2025 — the 4th Annual Stirling Awards!
Across the season, we’ve handed out our Top 5 drivers after every race. Now it’s time to reveal who finished number one for 2025.
As we run through the full driver rankings, we break down the rookie class and who impressed us most, lament the stunning fall from grace of a once-elite driver who didn’t even crack our Top 10, and dissect the wildly contrasting seasons of Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz. When it comes to our Top 3, things get heated — we vigorously debate the order, fail to reach consensus… even though the votes themselves are crystal clear.
Elsewhere on the pod:
• Jacqui talks about Jenson Button
• Nathan forgets to talk
• Taylor and James argue (again) about Max Verstappen
And don’t miss the bonus content, where James eats a sandwich, Nathan discusses a paper cut and Deadpool, and Jacqui is forced to listen to all of it.
A chaotic send-off to the 2025 season — we’ll see you in 2026!

A week removed from the Abu Dhabi season finale, the team look back on the 2025 Formula 1 season — and discuss our Top 5 moments from a thrilling year.
Before we hit the rewind button, we re-examine the most debated incident of the finale with fresh eyes: the clash between Yuki Tsunoda and Lando Norris. Was either driver actually in the wrong? And once again, do FIA rules leave far too much room for interpretation?
We also dive into the departure of Helmut Marko from Red Bull, marking the end of a defining era at the energy drink company done good. Was he fired or did he retire? And how should his legacy be judged — from the undeniable success of Red Bull’s junior program to the controversies that followed him throughout his tenure?
From there, it’s full season-review mode as we relive the moments that defined 2025:
• McLaren’s “Papaya Rules,” with flashpoints at Silverstone, Monza, and Baku
• Max Verstappen’s red-mist crash with George Russell in Spain
• Red Bull’s baffling car setup struggles in Brazil
• Lewis Hamilton’s lone shining moment in China
• And all the way back to where it began — the season opener in Australia
All that and more as we reflect on one of the most dramatic and controversial seasons Formula 1 has delivered in years.

Welcome to Mrs Norris' art class!
We unpack a surprisingly flat season finale, where Max Verstappen took the race win but Lando did exactly what he needed — bringing it home in P3 to secure the title by just two points over Max and Oscar Piastri. We dive into Lando’s race, and where this championship ranks in modern F1 history, plus a heap of “what if” moments that could’ve radically changed this three-way fight.
The team also revisit Lewis Hamilton’s deeply frustrating first year at Ferrari, share a strong contempt for Lando Norris’ mum (for reasons you’ll just have to hear to believe), and debate whether the commentary box has been a little too pro-Lando this season.
We debate Yuki Tsunoda’s controversial defence on Lando, identify the exact moment Red Bull could’ve flipped the championship, and give Charles Leclerc his flowers for at least trying to keep things spicy. And yes — we attempt to make sense of why Mercedes suddenly fell off a cliff in the title decider. Conspiracy theorists - assemble.
All that and more as we wrap up the wild ride that was the 2025 Formula 1 season!

The team are back to break down the penultimate race of the season in Qatar!
Jacqui, Nathan, and James unpack McLaren’s horrific and costly strategy calls that handed Max Verstappen yet another win — and ensured the three-way title fight will go all the way to Abu Dhabi next week.
We dig into the big questions:
• What on earth were McLaren thinking by not pitting both drivers under the Safety Car?
• Was this “fairness” taken too far?
• And is Oscar right to feel so wronged after losing critical points?
We also dissect the dramatic late-race 'pass' involving Kimi Antonelli, who was controversially overtaken by Lando on the penultimate lap. Plus, we look at Max’s remarkable surge from a mid-season deficit and debate what’s likely to happen in the title decider.
Can Max steal it? Is Oscar still a genuine chance? And how will Lando approach a race where P3 is enough to crown him champion?
Beyond the title fight, we touch on Carlos Sainz’s improved form, Ferrari’s continued misery, and the increasingly downcast figure of Lewis Hamilton.
All that and more as we look ahead to an absolutely electric season finale in Abu Dhabi!

We dive straight into the wild post-race penalties handed to Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri — and the massive impact they’ve had on the championship with just two races to go. It’s officially a three-way title fight.
Can McLaren fix their floor issue before Qatar? Will those fixes cost them pace? And could Max really pull off the greatest championship heist in F1 history? The crew once again debate the chances of Max or Oscar reeling in Lando’s lead… and James thinks some apologies are owed by those who believe in Max’s chances!
We also tackle yet another troubling incident with marshals on track and discuss how F1 can fix this recurring safety issue before someone gets seriously hurt.
Jacqui reveals a shocking “yes yes yes” award recipient, the team finds humour in Alex Albon’s mysteriously silent radio, and we dissect a far more sombre moment: a downcast Lewis Hamilton. Would Ferrari ever consider dropping him?
Then we look ahead to Qatar:
• Would McLaren use team orders to help Lando?
• Could Red Bull call in favours from Yuki… or even the RB junior squad?
• And what could it all mean for the championship?
Finally, the team heap praise on the incredible drive from Kimi Antonelli — and James finds himself in the bizarre position of defending Max. You honestly have to hear it to believe it.

Nathan is back on deck and joined by Jacqui as we look ahead to the Las Vegas Grand Prix! With only three races left in the season, just how pivotal could Vegas be in deciding this championship fight? Is Oscar Piastri mentally cooked, or is a comeback still on the cards?
We also dive into Franz Tost’s controversial comments about “stupid” mothers, and unpack the ugly situation involving a Racing Bulls employee allegedly encouraging fans to boo Lando Norris.
Plus, you get a rare peek inside the editing room as Nathan reveals what went down while cutting last week’s episode. All that and more as we gear up for a chaotic night race in Vegas!

Nathan is missing for only the second time in podcast history as Jacqui, James, and Taylor break down a wild Sprint weekend in São Paulo, Brazil! The team jumps straight into the big debate: was Max Verstappen’s charge through the field an all-time great drive, or just a lucky comeback? James and Taylor lock horns yet again over the answer.
We also dig into Oscar Piastri’s penalty — was it fair or another stewarding circus moment? And with just three races to go, the championship momentum has swung Lando’s way… but is his lead actually catchable?
Elsewhere, the crew discuss Ferrari publicly calling out their drivers, Red Bull’s indecisive car development, and why the Kardashians seriously need to pipe down. All that and more in this week’s Brazilian GP episode!
