We arrived for round 14 of the 2026 Formula 1 season for the first ever Spanish Grand Prix at the brand new Madring circuit
In this episode, we break down everything that happened at the inaugural Madrid race, from Lando Norris starting on pole and looking in control early on, to Kimi Antonelli once again proving why he is becoming the man to beat in the 2026 championship.
We discuss Antonelli’s impressive eighth victory of the season, Max Verstappen’s strong drive to second, and the strategy drama that turned what looked like a potential Norris victory into a disappointing third-place finish. The Virtual Safety Car and McLaren’s pit stop timing proved decisive, giving Mercedes the opportunity to seize control of the race.
We’ll also look at the Madring itself. Did Madrid’s new circuit live up to the hype? Was the track too difficult to overtake on, and does it have what it takes to become a future classic on the F1 calendar? With its fast sections, tight corners, elevation changes and the spectacularly banked La Monumental, there’s certainly plenty to discuss.
Plus, we talk about Charles Leclerc’s fourth-place finish, George Russell taking fifth, Lewis Hamilton’s frustrating early retirement with brake problems, and what Antonelli’s latest victory means for the championship battle heading into the final stages of the season.
Was this the beginning of a new era for the Spanish Grand Prix or does Madring still have some convincing to do?
So grab a drink, settle in and join us as the guys give their thoughts on some of the hot talking points and give their breakdown and analysis on this weekend’s Grand Prix.
