Just before He ascended into Heaven, Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all nations and preach three things: repentance, remission of sins in His name, and the promise of the Father. When asked what one must do in order to find salvation, many Christians respond by saying that a person must “Accept the Lord as their Personal Savior, and they’ll be saved.” While this may be the most popular response, is it, in fact, the true, Biblical response? Being converted is a glorious thing which everyone needs to experience. It should be understood, however, that true conversion is more than a one-time encounter by which a person is saved.
