Christ isn’t interested in leaving us the way He found us… He’s interested in making us new!

In this message, Pastor Andy Williamson teaches us that the sounds of Christ’s renewal in our lives manifest as the activity of transformation. Like scripture tells us in Romans 12, God will renew and transform our minds as we surrender to Him; as this happens, our transformed lives will ring out with such a sound that they overflow to everyone around us!

In this Sabbath Sunday message, Pastor Andy takes us through Galatians 6 and teaches us how we can sew our summer seeds of: New Heart. New Hope. New Vision. New Courage. New Action.

But to be able to sew these seeds and love others well, we must be not only a friend of God, but a friend to ourselves. Galatians 5:14 says, "For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" We must first love ourselves and what God has created us to be to be able to share that love with others around us.

So as we go throughout our summer and our sewing these seeds, let us remember that through HIM we are given a new heart, which produces a new hope in us, and through that He gives us new vision to have new courage to be able to take new action for His Kingdom!

Who better to teach us to be a friend of God than Jesus’ own brother?

In this message, Pastor Andy Williamson takes us to the book of James in order to learn what becoming a friend of God looks like. Through James’ own journey of unbelief, to apostle, to leader of the first century church, Pastor Andy shows us that becoming a friend of God doesn’t end with hearing God’s word, but in living it out.

Though we are not saved by our works, good works are the fruit of a genuine relationship with our Savior. The difference between going to church and BEING the church begins when we decide to live out what God has called us to.

So as we become friends of God, may we never tire of serving our God and living out the full and selfless lives He has called us to!

Just as the disciples in the upper room were called to minister to their generation, so are we being equipped to take the Good News to the world we live in now. We can’t pass the baton to anyone else… It has to be us. Because if it’s not us, then whom?

How you see HIM Matters…

In part five of our series, Pastor Andy takes us through Pre-Pentecost, identifying some trends happening with the events and people that are leading us to the Upper Room. During this part of our Journey To The Upper Room, Pastor Andy shows us how the disciples and others were scared by religion, circumstances, and other world powers when Jesus is arrested, beaten and killed. These disciples were not world-changers by any means.

We are given these accounts to show that it’s absolutely impossible for a person to live the Christian life through our own human strength. The Christian life FULLY depends upon the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer.

The promise of the Holy Spirit is for us TODAY! But we must make the choice ourselves to just be near the room, or whether we want to fully receive the power of the Holy Spirit! We must pray for the filling of the Spirit!
