Fade to Black Cinema

Alicia and I get into the 3rd season of the acclaimed HBO series WestWorld.  As extraordinary as the first 2 seasons were, we didn't know what to expect from this season because it seems as though it ended as a mystery not as a continuation. Here’s our thoughts

This time Alicia and I amp dead into season 3, yes we saw season 2. We enjoyed it to the extent that we had to wait until the whole 8 episode was over so we could binge watch the whole thing. This was a different presentation than the other two but worth watching as a fan

Eve's life as a spy is not adding up to what she had hoped it would be when she started. She is a bored, very smart, MI5 security officer who is very desk-bound. Villanelle is a very talented killer, mercurial in mood, who clings to the luxuries of her job. Eve and Villanelle go head to head in a fierce game of cat and mouse, each woman equally obsessed with the other as Eve is tasked with hunting down the psychopathic assassin. Sarah Barnett, BBCA president, says, " `Killing Eve' stands out in a sea of scripted stories as refreshingly entertaining and great fun.

Not really thinking this would be worth the look.  We decided to give Issa and Kumail a try since it is on Neflix

On the brink of breaking up, a couple gets unintentionally embroiled in a bizarre murder mystery. As they get closer to clearing their names and solving the case, they need to figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.

This crime drama follows members of a police department as they try to uncover a mystery against the elements. In a fjord near a small Icelandic town, a ferry arrives from Denmark with 300 passengers -- but only their journey stops here. A storm overhead and a treacherous blizzard prevent the ferry and the townspeople from leaving the remote area. When a dismembered, mutilated body washes up onshore, the local police realize a murder has taken place just hours earlier. Everybody trapped in the vicinity immediately becomes potential suspects and chaos descends as they try to find the killer

Apple TV + has a few shows on their channel that seems pretty interesting that we took the time to check out when it came up.  This month it was Captain America (Chris Evans) playing a lawyer who's son is a suspect for killing another child.  The drama in which we go through pulls you back and forward of did he do it or didn't he.  8 episodes and an open ended conclusion of did his son really do it.  This also was based on a book that was written in 2012 by a lawyer and writer.

Looking at the previews for this new TV series, I wasn't sure if this would be something I would find entertaining.  But here's the catch, Its about dying and your consciences is uploaded into a virtual reality.  Only if you can pay for the everlasting life.  Made me go Hmmm, so I invited Alicia to watch it with me.  Also as a added bonus, It was from Greg Daniels the creator of The Office, Parks and Recreation

So this movie on Netflix is number 1 in the nation. Mixed reviews about no story too much violence, blah, blah, blah. But I’m bored and want to see some stuff blown up. And your boy Thor is on here (Chris Hemsworth). Since he got back into shape. Why not show him some love,

This Amazon series was heavily advertised and touted as a great SCI FI  series.  From the works of a Swedish artist Simon Stalenhag, These 8 episodes were crated.  Obviously nothing I imagined it would be, and this is much more emotional and story based than your typical extravagant science fiction.

Another Netflix foreign film, and this one is from Poland.  Not many movies or shows I've seen come out of Poland but this one seemed like something worth while seeing.  This is the summary.  After a body is found sewn inside of a cow hide.  A local detective discovers a killer is recreating an 18th century "plague" of criminal punishments on a bunch of bad people.  Now, does this sound like something we have seen before?

A fatal accident at a remote survivalist training camp sends participants into a panic - and sets the stage for a chilling showdown. Sounds good don’t it. Or does it. Well It starts off like a bunch of regular anarchist learning to survive out in the wilderness until some real f’ed up stuff happens and the main protagonist freakin dies. So how does this end? Its in French so the intensity of watching this closer is recommended. A Canadian movie as well
