Dr. Erica’s story starts during her time as a very successful entrepreneur and sports chiropractor with a multidisciplinary practice. She was the poster child for health and wellness and a passionate Mom of two baby boys, happily married, had a great home and TRULY living the dream!
At the young age of 36, she received a devastating call and was told she had cancer and that diagnosis quickly escalated to a terminal prognosis.
This episode is about beating cancer and a highly destructive and lethal virus resulting in a need for a double lung transplant and being divorced by her husband after all of the fights. As an incredible mother to her two young boys, Dr. Erica shares with us the power of realistic optimism and the ability we all have to take full responsibility for our lives, in all areas that we want to grow or heal.
Dr. Erica had a 0% chance of success. And she ignored the stats and learned to heal from within. Her message is clear: No matter what we are going through, no matter the mountain we have to climb ahead, we can all choose to be happy TODAY!
Erica is now the Host and Founder of the Rise Today Inspirational podcast, Author of an upcoming book, international speaker, personal coach, and nominee for an international peace award.

It is our pleasure to welcome to the FailFighters podcast Mr. Jaipal Tuttle. Jaipal is one of those rare gems of a person who has had a truly legendary life. He started as a high school punk, clueless and burned out and yet managed to obtain a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics with one of the most famous physicists of all time. After discovering a piece of the Universe, he realized a life of bureaucratic academia wasn’t for him so he made the next logical choice to go work on wall street and was part of a team that made millions of dollars daily, one year making over 1 billion $ at Morgan Stanley. There was a best-selling book written about him and his crew called “The Quants” How a New Breed of Math Whizzes Conquered Wall Street and Nearly Destroyed It.
After several years as a high-rolling, heavy partying, punk style quantitative trader, he left his life between New York, Tokyo and London for a quieter, more laid-back lifestyle in Vietnam where he spent a few years wind sailing and trying to make sense of the Chaos that is Vietnam. He later married, divorced, had two children, became famous for his work around learning and singing Ancient Vietnamese Opera, and opened a Gothic Cafe!
In this episode, Jaipal shares with us, in detail, some of his key lessons learned through pain and substance abuse and how getting lost was key to finding himself. He issues a warning about the dangerous temptations most young business owners face and how he’s managed to rise above it and live a more meaningful life based on generosity, love and personal transformation. He concludes with two amazing lessons he wishes to impart on those listening and what it means to give back to the world. Don’t miss this episode as he describes his incredible life adventure.
