Do you get too comfortable with the world that you let the world have the #1 spot in your life where God should be?
JOIN ME in this 5 Day Challenge (starting May 7th 2020 for those listening on release day- ANY TIME for those listening at a later date):
Day 1: Think about and write down the times you've been closest to God in your life.
*Give yourself time and take the day to think about it and be honest with yourself and God. Have you been closest to him during hard times? Or have you been closest to him mostly in good times? Maybe a little of both?
Day 2: Think about and write down why you think with each period of time, you ended up letting your relationship with God go a bit- putting God on the back burner.
Day 3: Take time today to write down the relationship you want to have with God. Take away all the reasons (excuses, more like it) going through your head that make you think it's impossible. If you had an abundant amount of time to give and invest in your time with the Lord, what would that look like to you? Really go FULL OUT with this one and don't hold back.
Day 4: Think about and write down the people you make the most time for on a daily (or almost daily) basis in your life. Your spouse, your kids, your best friend, your parents, and so on. Whoever it is, write their names down and beside each name, write down how often you communicate with them per day (average) and what that relationship looks like.
*What do these relationships mean to you? They're bound to have their ups and downs, but the amount of time put into these relationships creates an unbreakable bond that can weather the fiercest of storms if you treat them right and put forth the effort that they deserve.
*Don't you think your relationship with God would be even better if you put that kind of effort into being present with him?
Day 5: The final day. Take today to, as best you can, live out what you wrote down on Day 3. If it's really over the top, do the best you can to treat God like he's one of the most important people in your life. THE most important person.
*Take him through your day. Invite him in to the good, bad, and ugly!
*At the end of the day, write down how you feel. Did making time for God hinder your work? Or motherhood? Did it derail your plans or prevent you from giving time to your other relationships?
*Or was it all okay? Did it feel really good? Did you sense God's presence in the way you handled the events of your day? Did he influence your decisions? Your demeanor?
