My guest, Andrew Warburton, shares some eeriefairy locations he visited while researching his book New England Fairies and reveals a few surprises along the journey.

He uncovers the mysteries of an abandoned fairy village in Connecticut and explains why Marblehead is considered the pixie capital of New England!

Furthermore, we explore the blending of fairy beliefs between European settlers and Indigenous peoples, examine some fabricated lore that became integrated into authentic fairy folklore, and address the demonisation of fairies and the bizarre tale of a wizard who conjured satanic Imps to drive his sawmill. This was an enlightening and informative chat, which you will surely enjoy!

My guest, Deborah Hatswell, Investigator & Researcher of the strange and unexplained, shares her encounters with little people, a rock monster and an Ape Man she witnessed in 1982.

Deborah felt driven to seek answers from others who had experienced and seen the impossible. She shares an extraordinary case of an elderly man named Fred who saw something that he said resembled the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood peering into his window in the early hours.

In Irish lore, these beings are known as ‘Death Wolves’ and are said to appear to the sick and dying twelve weeks before the person dies.

Thanks to Deb for permitting me to share the audio of Fred’s testimony, which was recorded twelve hours after his encounter.  The video version on my Fairy Whispering YouTube Channel includes footage of the large paw prints the creature left behind on Fred’s property.

Imagine taking a moonlit walk along a winding country lane.As you turn the corner, you spot a cosy cottage with smoke billowing from its chimney. You see the inhabitants sitting in front of a blazing hearth through the candlelit windows. They notice you peering through the window and seem surprised by your presence. You decide to come back the next day when it's light outside. However, as you return, a chill creeps up your spine. Instead of the welcoming cottage, you find only a pile of rubble, overgrown with a century of bushes and weeds.

In her talk for Solstice titled "Phantom Fairy Cottages” Claire Casely shares eerie stories and theories about haunting landscapes, ghostly houses, and surprising connections to modern-day encounters with fairies and folklore.

Lauren dreamt of fairies who were asking for her help. Their home in the Forest of Dean 🥬was threatened with destruction, along with all the stories held within the trees. Moved by the fairies' plea, I set out for the forest in August to listen and offer assistance. My journey is intertwined with excerpts from "True Tales of the Fairies of the Forest of Dean" by Dean Bryant-Duncan. 🧚‍♀️
