This parable, often referred to as the Parable of the Prodigal Son, tells the story of a father and his two sons. In this story, we see the depths of a father's love as he demonstrates forgiveness, compassion, and unwavering grace towards his wayward son. This points us to the extraordinary love that God, our Heavenly Father, has for each and every one of us.

Don't focus so much on the prodigal that you miss the point of the whole story...The Father

In this chapter, Moses emphasizes the importance of wholehearted commitment to God and passing on faith to future generations. The theme of Deuteronomy 6 is the command to love the Lord with all one's heart, soul, and strength, and to diligently teach God's commandments to our children in our daily lives.
