As we come to 1 Samuel, we find a lady by the name of Hannah in middle of a great trial. Hannah is the wife of Elkanah and she desires a child from the Lord. Up to this point, Hannah is barren and she is seeing others bare children and enjoy the blessing of being a mother.

The Bible describes Hannah as being in "bitterness of soul".
Through the message this morning, we will see how God used this trial to further reveal His power and Glory in the life of Hannah.

Take note of the trial in Hannah's life turning to a blessing...not only for her, but for all of Israel.

Paul calls believers to therefore live out their lives in unity with the work of Jesus and as a sign of that same work.

Followers of Christ must seek to live out the salvation they have been given so that the world will see it and the body will benefit from working together for the glory of God.

Paul closes this section of the Corinthian letter with a call to therefore trust in the resurrection of Jesus as believers continue to be transformed through their faith in Christ.

As believers, our main task is to trust the work of Jesus and his resurrection as a promise to us. We should place all our hope in Jesus; his resurrection is proof that his work was sufficient and one day will be complete in us as we pass through death into life.

God wants believers to know that their ultimate confidence in life is rooted in the work of Jesus Christ, and therefore they can live confidently without shame.

As believers, we need to continue to hear the story of God’s working through Jesus to bring us a right, restored relationship with God. We must rest in that confidence and abandon the shame that tends to linger when we consider that great work of Jesus and our need of it.

Jesus promises his followers his provision and therefore calls them to trust him completely with their lives.

It is easy to allow our anxiety and uncertainty to steal our focus away from trusting Jesus with all things. Instead, we must accept his promise to provide for us based on the good news of God’s love for us.
