Faith Baptist Church of Palm Bay

Memorizing Scripture equips us for the obstacles we will face and helps us recognize God's blessings in our daily lives. Much like preparing for the day in prayer, time in God's Word readies us with what we may not even know we will need for the hours ahead. Memorized Scripture powerfully pulls us back into focus. Our God is not a God of coincidence. He purposefully places His alive and active Word within our everyday lives. -All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness- That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.- -2 Timothy 3-16-17-. When unversed in God's Word, we leave our hearts susceptible to the worldly counsel prevalent in our culture. That worldly counsel can come from the television we watch, the music we listen to -many times even -Christian- music-, or colleagues at work. His Truth, alone, allows us to stand firm. Let's take a look at how to memorize Scripture effectively.

Have you been praying for someone or something for a long time and it seems as if God is not answering- Maybe you have doubts and questions. Should you just throw up your hands in defeat- Does the Lord want us to keep praying for this thing or is He tired of hearing the same prayer- What do we do with unanswered prayers- Together, I'd like to explore what the Bible has to say about it so that we can strengthen our prayer lives with strong faith and perseverance.

This lesson teaches the ultimate motivation for good stewardship based on Christ's parable of the found treasure in Matthew 13-44. Together, we'll unearth a radical teaching of Jesus - a secret wrapped up in giving. Once you discover this secret, life will never look the same.
