Faith Baptist Church of Palm Bay

Are you tempted to control your time in a way that is frustrated by the -divine interruptions- of life- Are you perhaps tempted to laziness in your use of time in a way that bemoans the effort-required in serving God- Maybe you are overburdened with the pressures of what the world views as a mundane and meaningles-existence. In this class we will look at some of the lies we are tempted to believe about the days given to us, and will look to-Scripture to answer a fundamental and practical question- How can I use my time for God's glory-

Making friends may seem easy, but meaningful and lasting relationships take work. The Bible provides many great examples of friendships. We will examine the need, struggle, and impact of authentic friendship. God did not make us to live alone, but to live in a community with one another.

-...May your days be merry and bright...---While the nice wishes of this Christmas song are well-intended, they frankly do not fuly represent a well-rounded life. A normal life encounters sunshine and rain. Struggles occur, losses happen, sadness can set in, and sometimes this sadness develops into a debilitating depression. Depression has been named -the malady of the 21st century-, with nearly 1 in 4 Americans suffering from it-during their lifetime. Chances are high that you or a family member or friend will experience it. Is there help other than mind-altering drugs and psych couches---The Bible teaches us that the enemy's plan of attack is to target our minds first, and set our emotions on shaky ground. Interestingly, there are many cases of people suffering depression in the Bible. We will study their stories and discover underlying causes and-solutions.--God would have us live joyful lives with sound minds, and teaches us how to do that in His Word. Join us as we study this very relevant topic.
