This is the message that Pastor Darrell taught from Mark 14 on July 1 during our communion supper.
Jesus gave thanks at a very difficult physical, emotional, spiritual moment in his earthly life. He knew who was sitting with him around that table in the upper room. He knew what was going to take place. He knew that the sin of the world was going to be placed on Him and that for a time He would be separate from the presence of God.
But in spite of that, Mark records that Jesus gave thanks.
How does that speak to our own thankfulness?
