In the Christian faith, forgiveness from God is expected. However, forgiving one another is a little more difficult ... it takes some work. Talking about forgiveness is one thing, but putting it into practice is another.

In our current age of celebrity, we may have forgotten that God does not show favoritism (Acts 10:34). Each person in the body of Jesus Christ has a significant and specific role to play.

At the end of 1 Samuel, things look bleak for Israel. Saul is dead along with his three sons. At the beginning of 2 Samuel, David has come back from living among the Philistines. Within the next few years, Israel blossomed, showing great evidence of God's blessing. It was evident that God chose to work through this man David.

At the beginning of 1 Samuel 27 David has come to the self-conviction that God has forsaken him, that David has been left on his own.

In the same way, many people today are asking the question, "Where is God?" Like David, it's not often that they're questioning the existence of God, but rather His presence with them in the situations that they're facing.
