God created the family as the foundation of human society.When we live according to God's created order, we flourish. When we attempt to live contrary that order, we suffer.

Uncontrolled anger is a destructive force that needs taming. Godly anger upholds God's honor and protects his creation.

One way to learn wisdom is to observe its opposite. Fools can teach us a lot about how not to live.

God desires his people to be cheerful givers. Yet he doesn't simply make it a command. He transforms the hearts of those who follow Christ from being selfish to hearts full of generosity.

God made man to work. Before the fall, work was a joy. After the fall, it became hard. God wants to redeem work in our lives by instilling in us the virtue of diligence.

Two opposing views of life have existed among people for millennia--fatalism vs. free-will. The Bible doesn't teach either extreme. In the Proverbs we see that man is responsible for making crucial life decisions under God's guidance, yet he is sovereign over the outcome.

Proverbs says that we must choose our friends carefully lest we be led astray. That was good advice 3000 years ago and is good advice today.

In Proverbs 3-21-35 we have an exhortation from a parent to child to walk in wisdom by loving his neighbor. Although we may find it difficult to love our neighbor at times, at the very least, we can avoid the five things in this passage.

How do we love God- Is it by checking off a to-do list. In Proverbs we find a list, but is is far from being motivational message, or a self-help manual.

A muse is someone who inspires creativity in an artist. Lady Wisdom was with God before, during and after he created the world. She has much to offer those of were not there.
