There have been religious hucksters throughout history. The Apostle Paul was not one of them. In Romans 15-14-21, he presents his credentials and his motivation for writing his letter. His message is not his own, it is God's Good News for the world.

God has designed His church to be a place where all people from all walks of life can live together in unity and glorify Him as one people of God.

Whose pleasure will you live for- Your own- Other's- or God's.

Although Christians have the liberty to disagree over many non-essential issues not clear in Scripture, they may need to restrict their freedom for the sake of their weaker brothers. Love must triumph over liberty.

One of Satan's most effective strategies is to get Christians fighting among themselves over issues that really do not matter in the long run. In this passage, the Apostle Paul cautions strong believers not bully the weak ones over such issues, as well as warns the weak one not to judge the strong.

It is so easy for Christians to be lured away from our purpose by the temptations of the flesh. We must constantly remind one another to wake up and fight.

Christ is the end of Law for all those who are in Christ Jesus. Yet, there is a new law that Jesus has has commanded us to obey--the Law of Love.

The rulers of the nations are placed there by God himself to accomplish his purposes. The Christian is obligated not only to pay their taxes to them, but honor and respect them as well.

What is the Christian's relationship with the state- What is our duty as citizens- The Apostle Paul and the early church writers have something to say about that.
