We exposit verses 3-4, where Peter explains the arguments the false teachers were using to mock the second coming.

We are raptured into verses 1-2, where Peter lets his readers know that the second coming is PROMISED by the OT, NT and Jesus Himself. If you trust the Bible, then you will trust the second coming. Lots of heavenly promises this week for the Christian, and incredibly horrifying certainties for the Non-Christian; since judgment is coming with Christ.

Every Christian alive wants Jesus to return. The more difficult life is, the

more trails we experience, the more injustice rules, the more you know

God’s Word as the only truth, and the closer you grow in intimacy with

Christ, the MORE you want Christ to return.

What does God think of those how KNOW the truth but reject it; those

who live in homes with Godly parents, but walk away; those who grew up

in the church, but live for themselves? The Lord, through Peter has some

shocking words of warning for the make believer and some incredible

challenge for the real believer.

We continue in our study of 2 Peter 2 part 4, the false

teachers have been promising FREEDOM = to the errant teacher, God’s

grace means you are free to sin as much as you want. Like Job’s three

friends, false teachers are logical, and persuasive but they are

completely WRONG. As we sharpen our lens of discernment and glorify

the Lord of Truth, this Sunday you will find out how to discern those of

your friends/family who are close to salvation but not born again – and

how you can help them to understand the difference between the real

and the phony, the true and the false, the authentic and the pretender

We continue in our study of 2 Peter 2 and the DEEDS of the false teachers – but this week, there is much to gain on how we lead our families and minister to others, much about God’s love for truth and hatred of lying, learning about Balaam, and the importance of discernment, todays missing character quality for Christians.

Only God is good and the only good things we really do is when the good God does good things through us. Christ is the great divider of mankind.

Coming face to face with the truth if who Christ is, will the expose the character of any person.

Paul demonstrates his amazing heart for his own Jewish people, and he makes a massive effort to graciously share the Gospel with the Jewish leaders in Rome. By doing so, Paul demonstrates to us how to share the Gospel of Christ with the religious.

The plans of your day regularly change and adapt according to the obstacles before you. Acts 28:1-16 shows us clearly that God’s plans are unstoppable. We may not recognize what’s happening, but we can trust that God is at work, even in the mundane.
