Entrusting Your Children to the Lord.

In Acts 25-26, Paul proclaims the gospel to Festus and Herod before heading to Rome. Acts will move all of us to be far more ready to share our testimony and shows us how.

What does it mean to repent? How can you tell when someone is truly sorry for what they’ve done? When have you done enough to prove that you’ve changed? What will repentance look like? You know that sorry isn’t enough. You’re not sure that you can ever forgive them. How can you tell if YOU are genuinely repentant over sin in your life?

GOD TURNS OBSTACLES INTO OPPORTUNITIES as Paul appeals to Caesar in Acts 25. In the midst of Paul’s first interaction with the new Governor Festus, God’s Word describes the unsaved’s hatefulness toward the Gospel, the lost’s enslavement to sin, and the need for Christians to grow deeper in their confidence in God’s sovereignty.

Three different aspects of why we should want to be effective managers of our home include being a faithful steward, a faithful obeyer, and a faithful doer.

Paul is tried by the Roman Governor FELIX. The prosecution is a slick lawyer (hired by the Sanhedrin) who wants Paul dead. What is amazing is looking at the entire court case from God’s perspective: it is actually FELIX who loses in God’s court. Governor Felix makes the worst mistake anyone, anywhere, could ever make.
