8/21/16 - Shane Koehler - Is sovereign election unfair in view of man's free will to choose to believe or not believe? Paul uses Pharaoh as an example to show that this suggestion misunderstands man's fallen nature, which always chooses according to it's fallen desires. It is precisely that sovereign interference with our free will that is needed for salvation.
8/21/16 - Mike Payne - Jesus' short parable about "who will love me the most." It includes the account of a woman (who was a sinner) who found Jesus at the home of Simon the Pharisee where she “washed his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head.”
8/14/16 - Shane Koehler - There are several common objections to the doctrine of sovereign election that Paul is setting forth in Romans 9. The first and most common is that it is unfair that God would choose some and not others for salvation. Paul deals with this first objection by pointing to the self-existant nature and freedom of God as the ultimate basis of His choice.
