The Vicious Cycle of Anger:

Stage 1: we get angry

Stage 2: our ego is wounded

Stage 3: the self-righteous victim

Stage 4: contempt

Stage 5: verbal violence

Stage 6: we harm other people & ourselves

Stage 7: who knows?!

How to break the Vicious Cycle of Anger:

1, make peace

2, do it right away

Don't you want to break the cycle?

Don't you want the church to be a place

where we've broken the cycle,

where toxic anger has no place,

where we've learned to reconcile,

so we can live lives of honest worship?

- assess the situation

- trust God; know that He is able to rescue you

- continue to trust God, even if rescue doesn't come - He is always good!
