This Sunday, we’re talking all about faith! Joshua 1 contains an incredible example of Joshua’s faith in God which led him to conquering the Promised Land. Faith always brings us into a stronger relationship with God. Faith is the confidence that God will come through for us – that He will fulfill His promises. God has an adventure for every single one of us, but we must have the courage to obey His directions to go on that adventure. Take a risk in faith – God’s got you!

As our church is in the stages of new growth, we are studying Joshua – the book of conquest. Just like Joshua, walking into our Promised Land requires faith and action on our part. We cannot depend on ourselves, but rather on God’s strength as we conquer the new territory He has given us. As we step into new challenges, we can be encouraged by the testimonies of others who have experienced God’s supernatural provision. On this Sunday morning, Deb and Tudor both share their stories of how stepping out in faith has led to miraculous results in their lives.

In the first few minutes, Pastor Andy gives an update on the fundraising progress for moving the donated modulars to Faith Family’s campus.

The different names of God throughout the Bible reveal the depth of His character. The names of God also show the kind of relationship we are supposed to have with Him. His character shapes our relationship with Him. On this Wednesday night service, Pastor Sue covers how God is our provision, what we need to do to receive this provision, and how we are constantly supposed to be growing in our relationship with God.

Joshua’s journey of conquering the Promised Land is the perfect lesson on stepping into new territory that the Lord has given us. In order to accomplish the mission God has set before us, we must view ourselves the way God sees us. God lives in us, which means that we can overcome any challenge through His strength. God has sent us to claim the territory He has given us, not shy away from challenges. Acting on our faith requires courage! God doesn’t just want us to look back at the miracles other people have experienced in their lives – He wants us to step out in faith and experience miracles in our own lives!

Pastor Andy leads the congregation in communion starting at about minute 40.

Using the Word of God and her own adventures in following the Lord, Pastor Sue teaches about how we can renew our minds, how we can see healing manifested in our bodies, and how we can hear and obey God’s direction. God wants us to experience health and healing in every area of our lives. God not only heals the physical body, but also heals our mind, will, and emotions. To see healing manifested in our lives, we must seek God and discover what His strategy is for each of our battles. Above all, we must be rooted and grounded on the Word of God if we are to see healing manifest in our lives.
