Psalm 62:7-8 says "My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge." Pouring out your heart before God is an act of worship. He wants us to not only worship from our mind, but also worship from the depth of our soul.

Everything changed in a moment. When Jesus was born, He gave us the chance to be known, accepted, and forgiven. When we experience His love, we can't help but Come to Worship. This is the first in a 4-week series teaching different ways to worship God.

Today's sermon looks at financial generosity. There are lots of ways to be generous and we talk about them often. Generosity with time and talent are huge and necessary and greatly appreciated. The church doesn't operate without that kind of generosity. But today is about financial generosity and how a We mentality leads to Irrational Generosity whereas a Me mentality kills generosity of any kind.

It is not wrong to be wise consumer. We deserve quality. But has the consumerism pendulum swung too far? Is the church just one more place where we want it our way? Where it is all about 'me'? For many, it is. But Jesus intended it to be much more about the 'we' than the 'me'.

Too many Christians try to live the safest lives possible and they think God will be pleased by that. In reality, God is pleased by people of great faith who are willing to take risks.

According to scripture, the glory of God and the church He wants to build, cannot happen by one person trying to make that happen. That is really hard for some of us. It's hard growing up on this country that is all about independence. It's not going to happen unless we stop thinking of the church as Jesus and me, and start thinking about it as Jesus and We.

This is the final session in our Signs of Life series. Our goal in the series has been to discover and discuss what appear to be some common things God uses to grow our faith and deepen our trust in Him. Today is all about how God uses "defining moments" that can either deepen or damage our retaliation with Him. We call them Pivotal Circumstances.

Personal Ministry is "Joining God where he's at work." It's about accepting his invitation in something that makes an impacting the lives of others and in the kingdom of God.

Private Disciplines are personal activities that produce intimacy with God. They draw us closer to Him, just as spending one-on-one time with another person results in growing closer to them. This week, we discuss three particular activities.

God loves us just the way we are...and He loves us too much to let us stay that way. God not only wants people to come to a saving faith in Jesus; He wants us to experience the freedom and fullness of life that comes from deep, confident and unshakable faith.
