Faith School (Audio)

God knows that when you seek, you're going to find. He has committed that if you believe Him enough to do something, to act on that belief, He is right there, and He's going to respond. If you're looking for something in Him, He is going to see to it that you find it. God is a Rewarder of those who do something--who reach out, seek, search, and step out in faith. Since faith is not passive, we must receive what God has given.

When we go to God, we must believe that He is, and we must believe He is a rewarder of when we diligently seek Him. He tells us to ask, see, and knock. These are actions, and living faith acts. The way God works is that He provides, then He tells us to come and possess it. Believers are go-getters! Faith doesn't pull back, shrink back, cower, sit back, or lay back. All of that describes being passive and doing nothing, ceasing. Rather, faith is a mover, a reacher, and a seeker. Faith lays hold. It has to advance, to move forward. God is pleased with faith. God is a Rewarder of those who do something--who reach out, seek, search, and step out in faith. Since faith is not passive, we must receive what God has given.

Many say, "God is in control," and the implication is that nothing is up to us; it's all up to Him. But God is not pleased if we just pull back and passively wait on Him for everything. Faith isn't passive. Faith is a receiver! God is a Rewarder of those who do something--who reach out, seek, search, and step out in faith. Since faith is not passive, we must receive what God has given.

God gave us a mind. He wants us to think, but we're not supposed to be led by our understanding or by our reasoning. Use your mind and your understanding, but when it comes time to make the decision, don't trust in your reasoning. Trust what you're getting in your heart. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Faith is confident. Whether we ask confidently or waveringly determines whether we receive or not. Uncertainty is an enemy of faith, so keep your confidence!
