Tune in to this series finale, as an outstanding mentor, Mr. Nate Dancy, and my wonderful husband, Richard Randle, share how their practical life-experiences and their faith helped to shape who they've become as husbands.
Luke 15 tells the story of a prodigal son who, in his youth and ignorance, rebelled against his father and left home to experience the world. Sometime later, after having squandered all of his money and LITERALLY landing himself in a mess of a situation, verse 17 says, he “came to himself,” and he found his way back home… back home to a loving and grateful father who welcomed him with open arms.
Much like the prodigal son, NONE of us are exempt from finding ourselves in a messy predicament… physically and emotionally. But the good news is that also like the prodigal son, sometimes all we need is a little change in perspective to initiate the change in our situation.
If you, or someone you know, can use a little jumpstart to the process,
Head on over to my website: https://www.faithandtheory.com/ for exclusive insight and content on how a shift in perspective can make a world of difference… AND for step-by-step tips on how to begin your journey.
Manhood, fatherhood, leadership, and marriage are no easy tasks, to say the least.
Take King David, for example. Though he was held as an anointed King, a mighty warrior, and a man after God's own heart, he was still simply a man, with his own set of trials, struggles, hang-ups, and heartbreaks. For David, going from the lonesome son tending the flocks, to an anointed King of Israel, was! A! JOURNEY!, a journey which included even overcoming HIMSELF. Take comfort in knowing that although the journey from boy to man, from sonship to fatherhood, isn't always an easy one, God will still be right there, ever present, like a loving Father to prodigal sons, ready to teach, guide, forgive, and welcome you home."The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress... He says, 'Be still, and know that I am God'..."
Sometimes, particularly in a world of busyness and chaos, the best thing we can do to minimize our stress levels is to slow down, sit still, and quiet our minds. Mindfulness and meditation is a proven therapeutic technique that teaches the user how to activate their parasympathetic nervous system (the system that tells our bodies to 'calm down and relax').
Join me, as I chat with Sierra Lyons of "Sit Still with Sierra," and explore a few practical ways we can begin to slow down, rest, and replenish our hearts and minds during challenging times.
And as always, if you enjoy the episode, don't forget to like, follow, share, and subscribe.

“After many years of working in bereavement and grief and loss counseling, this much I know for sure. 1.None of us grieve the same. 2.There’s no timetable for grief. 3. You NEVER get over it! You learn to get through it and how to cope. 4. People who tell you “I know how you feel” really don’t unless they have experienced a loss like yours. 5. You need people who will be good listeners, not who want to give you advice. 6. You need to get help. Grief support groups are very effective and help you to realize that you’re not the only person who has lost a loved one. 7. Be patient with yourself, be kind to yourself.” (Bobby Taylor)
If you've ever experienced a loss OR if you know of someone else who has experienced loss, then this episode is for you. I hope that in it, you will find yourself inspired by Vernita Bowe's story of "Restoration: A Journey to Healing and Wholeness."Have you ever felt a FEAR OF FLYING? Ever had a dream buried deep in your heart that you couldn't shake? Ever had a desire to be more, do more, experience more? Tell me... what's stopping you?? Whatever it is, I can assure you that you are not alone in feeling that way and that it doesn't HAVE to BE that way. Tune in as guests talk about their journey of overcoming fear and living out their dream.
