God will protect in the fire, not from the fire.

Faithfulness to God will sometimes require you to take a stand against human belligerence. This is what "the boys" do in chapter 3 of Daniel when they are told to bow down in absolute loyalty to a human authority. They refuse this demand but they also don't fight back. Rather, they place their trust in God and take a stand. Many years later, Jesus would do the same. In this message you will learn the fundamental insight that empowers such courage. It is the knowledge that all human kingdoms end but the kingdom of God lasts forever.

The book of Daniel is written to provide a third way to the ingrained responses of fight and flight. In this message, Pastor Scott describes the first of three "stands" that Daniel and his friends make while spending a lifetime as captives in Babylon.

If you want to know what to do in a hopeless situation, this teaching from Daniel is for you.
