What is a gift? The Oxford dictionary defines "gift" as a thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present.

Therefore, if you have to pay for it, then it is not a gift. Today, Pastor Rich will continue our look at the free gift of salvation. The Galatians had been mislead into thinking they had to earn salvation. Paul addresses this issue in the book of Galatians.

Galatians 3:10-18

Have you ever felt that no matter how hard you try you simply can't accomplish something?  In your relationship with Christ do you find yourself failing over and over and over, unable to get any victory?

The churches in Galatians were trying to please God in their own strength.  They thought that if they worked hard enough they could become stronger Christians.  Today Pastor Matt will show us that spiritual growth only comes through the power of the Holy Spirit, not through your own actions.

Galatians 3:1-9

Do you let fear of the opinions of others control your decision making? Often this leads to compromise and poor choices.

Today Pastor Rich will discuss two prominent Christians who fell into the same trap, and what we can do to avoid making the same mistakes.

Galatians 2:11-21

What do you have to do to become a Christian?  Are there any specific actions one must take?  What brings us together as a church in the midst of diversity?  How do we maintain unity in the midst of diversity?  What is the dividing line for the breaking of fellowship with others?  

Pastor Rich will answer these questions as we look at Paul's writings in Galatians 2:1-10.

Galatians 1:13-24

There are two ways to look at the past: as a destination, and as a foundation.  Some look at the past as a destination.  "If I could just go back to the good old days, everything would be better."  The sad truth is that you can never actually go back to the past.  

The past is a foundation.  Examining the past will help us better prepare for the future.  We look back to gain the wisdom, strength, encouragement, and humility we need to face the future.  

Today, Pastor Rich will show us who we are, who God is, and what God's purpose is for us in the future (what does He want us to do).

Isaiah 6:1-8

The Gospel is the good news detailing how we as sinful humans can have our sins forgiven, we call this being saved from the punishment for sin (also called salvation).  There's nothing we can do to earn this salvation.  It was bought and paid for by Jesus Christ when He came to earth, died on the cross (taking our place), and rose again three days later.  Some folks seek to complicate and add things to the gospel - such as specific actions that have to be done in order to receive salvation.  In today's passage Pastor Rich will show us Paul's answer to those who seek to add to the gospel.  

Galatians 1:6-12

Today we begin a new series on Paul's letter to the church at Galatians.  Our theme is "The Gospel Unchained," removing legalism (keeping a set of rules) from the gospel which is by grace alone through faith alone.

Today we look at the God who calls us to follow Him.  This God paid the ultimate price for our sins, and rose again.  He offers this salvation (chance to be rescued from sin) to us if we will trust Him and receive it by faith. 

Galatians 1:1-5

Jesus came to bear all of our guilt and shame, and provides forgiveness for all sin to those who believe.  He can bring hope and healing to your life, regardless of past failures and poor decisions.  

Jeremiah 1:4-10

We all want to avoid affliction and seek comfort.  Today Pastor Chris will discuss how God uses the afflictions we face for both our good and the good of those around us.
