Discussion includes why the seven thunders of God were sealed up and not delivered (10:4), what the mystery of God is and how it benefits the world (10:7), and the meaning of John taking the small scroll from the hand of the mighty angel and eating it (10:9).

This teaching introduces the book of 2 Samuel, which continues seamlessly from 1 Samuel. An overview of both 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel is given by Pastor Rhode in the first 7 minutes of this recording. This teaching then covers chapters 1 to 3 of 2 Samuel that includes: David learning of the death of King Saul in an unusual way; Saul's son, Ish-bosheth, vying for the kingship of Israel with David; Saul's general, Abner, being murdered by David's general, Joab; and David mourning Abner's death.
